"Though the service and atmosphere have consistently been top-tier, I wanted to focus this review on thanking the Agi’s Counter team by briefly highlighting one of the best dishes I’ve ever had with their most recent venison special.Disclaimer, I'm by no means a professional food reviewer and I understand dumping about one dish might seem a bit excessive, but here it goes anyway lolIt offered an adventurous and festive experience that managed to pull off some of the furthest leaps of flavors that I’ve ever come across. It was my first experience with venison and it was painfully tender, juicy, and savory. It boldly asserted complex and transformative grassy flavors that pushed on the extremes of what I imagined my palette could comprehend. The dish’s homier presentation and respectable portions aided these extremities, making it feel inviting for cozy exploration and indulgence. That feeling continues with the caramelized quince which introduced comforting and decadent fruity flavors. The texture was fun, sticky, and candy-like, inviting a unique sense of charm, playfulness, and character that was particularly unique to this dish. And of course, the chestnut brown butter needs to be credited as the deep earthy glue that managed to solidify a comprehensive eating experience with this dish. The Agi’s Counter team should be incredibly proud of this and all the work they’ve put out, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else they may have to offer."

Had an amazing meal near Brooklyn Museum. I can't wait to return! We even spotted Spike Lee at his exhibit.

Everything was incredible! New favorite Brooklyn restaurant! Do be careful with tipping as there’s already an extra 5% charge.

Came here for the Sunday donuts and was quite underwhelmed but the crepes were much better! The egg sandwiches were delicious as well as the dumpling soup, but prepare yourself for a bowl full of dill!

I arrived at the restaurant around noon and found it to be completely full with a long waitlist, so I decided to leave. However, I did manage to order a sajtos pogácsa filled with egg, which was absolutely delicious. I regret not being able to try more of their dishes.

Consistently excellent food and service. The menu is updated regularly to keep things interesting, but they always have reliable favorites like the caraway caesar and tuna confit melt that never disappoint. Big thanks to the Agi's team for consistently delivering great meals. View menu

We loved everything about this place! The food is nearly impeccable, the service was perfectly balanced and attentive. The vibe and decor is so thoughtful and well executed. We ordered every single dish on the menu except for the pork, dumplings, and toast and absolutely loved it. My only note is that the pastrami was fattier than expected (20-30% fat) for my taste, but the flavors were still incredible. I would come here again and again.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
