"We visited this restaurant for lunch on two consecutive Saturdays with different groups of friends. The first time, we found the service to be very slow, but the appetizers were good. The main course was too spicy, took a long time to arrive, and we were not very hungry due to the 20-minute gap between appetizers and main course. Hoping it was just a one-time occurrence, we decided to give it another try the following weekend to enjoy some of the appetizers we had liked before. Sadly, it was a terrible mistake. Two out of five items we wanted were not available, the service was even slower this time, and to make matters worse, four items we ordered never arrived (we were a party of 8). Despite reassurances that the food was on its way, the manager eventually told us that we had not actually ordered the missing dishes we were waiting for. At that point, we decided to cut our losses and leave. However, just as we were leaving, the missing dishes arrived (cold) - disproving the manager's claim that we had not ordered them. This was 40 minutes after half of our table had already finished their meals. In short, this restaurant is often empty on weekends for a reason, despite its great location. Only go here if you have plenty of time to spare and are okay with the slow service."

Delicious food and great ambiance for our table of seven. Service was a little slow, especially as there wasn't a huge crowd the night we went. But the quality of the meal was excellent and the portions were ample.

I celebrated my birthday here last Sunday. the ambiente is very cozy that complements the snowy manhattan at night. eating was delicious and not as spicy as most Indian cuisine! I make reservations as it looks as if the place in the night is very busy.

I celebrated my 21st birthday here last Sunday. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a snowy Manhattan night. The food was delicious and not overly spicy like most Indian cuisine. I recommend making reservations as the place seems to get very busy at night.

we enjoyed the food very beautiful combination of street food, dhosas, windshield wiper, jain kitchen, eating from several regions indiens, almost all very good. high points were the dhosas, Sag-Schild-Schilder, a Manchurian-Cauliflower (a merchandiseizer), and others. I'm going back. View menu

We thoroughly enjoyed the diverse selection of street food, dosas, paneers, Jain cuisine, and dishes from various regions of India at this restaurant. Almost everything we tried was delicious, with standout items like the dosas, sag paneer, Manchurian cauliflower appetizer, and more. We definitely look forward to returning in the future.

I love this place. The food is always excellent and such a selection, too! I had the Pondicherry dosa, it was soooo good, my husband had the palek paneer, and our friend had a masala dosa. My only complaint is that it gets really loud. However, after the dinner rush, it quieted down to an acceptable level. The lunch buffet is wonderful as well.

meal was okay, but if the waitress lost my debit card and gave me someone else, the situation was not properly treated. I was quite disturbed that they send out my credit card with a stranger, and the owner, although it was appropriate to ask for another card to calculate my meal while he did not even look for him. I told him no, and they had to find my card. my friend and I should see a movie around the corner, so I told him they would have to find him until the end of the night. No one in the restaurant apologised and when the card was found, I was not compensated for my problems at all. that has never happened to me, and I was not particularly happy with the way it was treated, probably w... Meal was okay, but when the waitress lost my debit card and gave me someone else’s the situation wasn’t handled appropriately. I was pretty alarmed that they sent my credit card off with a stranger, and the owner though it was appropriate to ask me for another card to charge my meal while he wasn’t even looking for it. "We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
