"I love this place. I've been going to AL Capone's for over 25 years (when they used to be over by the Custom House Clock). Very large slices of pizza (its 2 large pizza slices) for around $4.25. Great 20' subs, which is basically 2 large subs. They also sell salads and other basic pizza/sub shop items. Friendly staff, very quick service, tasty foods and good prices. I stop there whenever I in that area of town."

Good subs hot or cold on home made sub roll. Super efficiency during lunch rush. Good combo specials. Place has not really changed in 20 years.

The service here is pretty great, never any issues there. They have great Steak n Cheese subs and A REALLY GREAT Chicken Caesar Wrap. They can do no wrong when it comes to their food. Although it doesn't have a ton of seating, its not usually packed either. I recommend it for sure.

The food here is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff, especially the owner, genuinely care about their customers and strive to make every visit a memorable one. If you’re in Boston, it’s definitely worth stopping by for lunch, and it’s a must-try for locals. Highly recommended!

We had breakfast there yesterday morning in Boston and I only wish we had discovered it sooner in our trip! The food was fantastic and generous in portions. The woman at the register was incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. Don't overlook this little gem during your visit! View menu

I absolutely love this place for lunch—it's the best in Boston, or at least around Summer Street. They have excellent specials, and their subs and slices are both delicious and generous in portion. The staff works incredibly hard, and it definitely gets really busy from around 11 to 2. There are so many great options to choose from!

I absolutely love this restaurant for lunch; it's the best in Boston, or at least on Summer Street. They have excellent specialties, and both the subs and pizzas are delicious and generous in portion. The staff works incredibly hard, and it's clear they're busy, especially between 11 am and 2 pm. There are so many great options to choose from!

This place serves the best steak and cheese around, and the prices are fantastic! They also offer an amazing breakfast that's hard to beat anywhere else. The staff is friendly, and the food is always fresh. It feels like a true local gem, and I dine here whenever I get the chance. Plus, they make their own sandwich bread daily—how great is that? They didn 't put the cheese or coleslaw on my sandwich, and also the meat was dry. The restaurant had a strange ambiance and I 'm not sure why the bread was soggy. This is kind of disappointing because I dropped an hour 's worth of my minimum wage salary on this pastrami sub. I will be taking my business to Subway, for there I will eat fresh as promised.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
