"Food was fine, but a bad experience reported here as cautionary tale that left a bad taste that had nothing to do with food. Bottles of tap water on display as you come in. Waiter asked still or sparkling. I said still. He brought bottled water. I told him I did not drink it and I didn 't need bottled water. The bill came with $10 for a bottle of water. I paid, but raised the issue when I left saying that I thought the waiter should have asked sparkling, still or tap if that was how they were going to play it, did not drink the bottled water and respectfully, disliked being charged. The response was that the waiter must have misunderstood. There was no offer to correct the matter. Since that bothered me, I called some days later and asked for a manager, politely repeated the events and said I wanted to convey that for his benefit in case he felt the servers should perhaps give the option of tap if still will be $10 to avoid bad feelings in other cases. He said I was correct and should not have been charged if I did not drink it . Again, no offer of any customer courtesy. Something at least offered by any of the three people to whom I raised this might have been good business and avoided leaving the bad taste."

Very nice. Lovely Spanish wine. Great service. One order was perfect. My chicken dish was very salty. Overall was a good experience. View menu

Authentic. top notch Spanish, cuisine like I enjoyed in Barcelona 25 years ago. Good friendly service. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed the experience completely even though it wasn't elegant.

Average price, average to good taste, portion size varied. Dined in, think we tried the charcuterie, sardines, squid ink pasta, steak. Liked the squid ink pasta; the steak was a large size. Liked the sardines as well, though the taste was strong butsimple.

Excellent. Welcoming, pleasant back ground music and it is not noisy....it is possible to speak with a low normal tone of voice...what a blessing! Good food and very good service . I love it and go there often. Being Italian I appreciate the Mediterranean cuisine and the cook serves real Spanish food. Super! View menu

We had an early dinner on a Friday evening before seeing a show. Loved that we were far enough away from the theatre district so that there wasn’t the crush of diners, but close enough to have a leisurely walk to the theatre The menu was lovely. We shared two tapas dishes and seafood paella. It was delicious and more than enough food for the two of us. Service was good and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends

This is one of my go to restaurants in NYC. Excellent friendly staff and high quality food. I love their sangria. All of the tapas are great. The vibe is also great, very clean restaurant. I recently ate in one of the igloos they set up for the winterand it was great. They have a Bluetooth speaker in each igloo and you can connect your own music via Bluetooth. They also have acute fire pit heater that heated up the igloo well. It was warm and toasty inside. Highly recommend this restaurant!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
