"However, when it came to the service and the food, that’s where the experience fell short. After receiving a good recommendation, I decided to give this place a try. I'll do my best to be clear about my experience so you can understand my perspective. Placing our order took longer than expected, likely due to the lengthy menu. Since it was overwhelming, we decided to get a platter. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. The BBQ was undercooked, and it would have rated a two-star if not for the nice setup. I really dislike saying this, but serving undercooked BBQ is simply unacceptable. The mac and cheese on the platter was decent, but when I ordered it on the side, it was far from good. The coleslaw remained untouched. The chicken and sausage were acceptable and made the platter somewhat tolerable. For an appetizer, we had shrimp ceviche, which I had high hopes for. But how do you mess up ceviche? There are basic ingredients that must be present, and acidity is essential. Although the dish had an interesting mix of components, one unfamiliar ingredient was a small Peruvian sweet hot pepper, which didn’t improve the overall flavor. Then came the baked beans, another letdown. We didn’t even have a spoon for them, and the flavor was overly sweet without the BBQ essence we were looking for. Now, onto the service. While our server was friendly, the service is crucial for a first-time visitor. One fundamental rule is to take guests' orders while seated. Throughout our wait, we didn’t receive any drinks, which arrived only after our food was served. We had to ask multiple times for various items, and some—like napkins, which are essential in any BBQ joint—never showed up. One of my companions asked for a spoon three times, as well as lime for the ceviche. I noticed the spoons were just within reach, yet our waitress took far too long to bring one for the baked beans—she finally delivered it just as we were about to ask for our check. It would have only taken a couple of minutes to resolve that. I lost count of how many times we called for her, and she often pretended not to hear us. Lastly, when we handed her our card to pay, she strolled around with it for over ten minutes while tending to other tables. The venue may have a great selection of dishes, but this particular experience has left me questioning the quality of the food overall. Honestly, I would give it a rating of 2.5 stars, if not 2. This was my experience this time, and I hope you consider my feedback. Of course, your visit may turn out to be entirely different from mine."

"When our table was ready, I approached the hostess, who seated us and asked if we had closed our tab at the bar. After settling our bill, we returned to our table and waited to be served. However, the manager, Sandy, came over and unexpectedly scolded us in front of several other tables, trying to embarrass us for moving to the table, even though the hostess had given us the buzzer for it. She sternly told us she would "let it slide this time, but next time it wouldn't be allowed." After she left, my girlfriend and I waited for 20 minutes without being served. Our waitress avoided eye contact with us and simply ignored our presence. Eventually, we decided to leave and approached her to ask why we hadn’t been served. To our surprise, she said, "My manager Sandy told me I was not allowed to serve you under any circumstances. I’m really sorry it was so awkward." We live and work on the mountain and frequently visit Bullwinkle's, so we were shocked by this treatment. We would never have sat at the bar with the buzzer if Daniele hadn't said it was alright!"

"The service at this restaurant was extremely slow. Despite being there for 1.5 hours and placing our food order at least an hour ago, we still had not been served. The waitress did not check on us for an hour and the hostess only asked if we needed menus after we had already ordered and been waiting for an hour. It seemed like the restaurant was understaffed and the service was lacking. When our food finally arrived after an hour and 45 minutes, one of our orders was completely forgotten and it took even longer to receive it. To make matters worse, the food was served cold. We were very disappointed and felt neglected. The quality of the food was not good either, with the fish and chips being fried twice and dry, the French fries being cold, and the French onion soup being unsatisfactory. Overall, we were extremely underwhelmed by our experience and would not recommend this restaurant. The waitress failed to check on us and was unfriendly, showing poor customer service. It was clear that the staff was not properly trained, as evidenced by the waitress asking about cheese despite being informed of a dairy allergy. She also forgot drinks multiple times and served the wrong ones."

"If you find yourself in Sugarloaf, you have to come to this restaurant even if you're not staying at the hotel! On our first night, we ordered small plates of mussels and fried Brussels sprouts, but they were anything but small! The portion sizes were generous and the food was absolutely delicious. The mussels were plump and some of the best I've had in a long time. We returned the next night for another fantastic meal, ordering mussels again and trying the delicious short ribs. The salad was fresh and tasty as well. I've already made reservations for 6 on Saturday to show my friends how great this place is, and I can't wait to eat there again. The mussels are a must-try!"

"At Dellie's, I had the best breakfast in my life. Okay, one of the best. I can't disrespect my homies at the Bayou Kitchen. But it was one of the best I have had in my life. I almost don't know what else I can say. I don't remember what the breakfast was called. It was written in chalk on the menu. French toast, sausage, bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast. Each better than the last. You can taste the quality of every ingredient. The bread was fresh baked that morning. The maple syrup tasted like it was tapped halfway up the mountain. I have a feeling the pig who laid down its life for my bacon was alive the week before I arrived. I had the entire plate and could have had another. Absolutely sublime. For context, I usually have a cup of coffee and an orange for breakfast. Warm, cozy, and with gigantic picture windows to look out at the Bigelows, my breakfast at Dellie's was the best I could remember for a long long time. I'll be back to Dellie's."
