"On a scale from documentaries to novels, Alquisiras Paleteria reminds me of "The House of Broken Angels" by Luis Alberto Urrea. The combination of its storytelling and food truly transports its patrons, and Alquisiras Paleteria achieved that perfectly. Stepping into this restaurant feels like arriving in another country, thanks to its décor and menu. Although the place shows some signs of wear, it's clearly a cherished spot in the community, and the food absolutely blew me away. We ordered a quesadilla, enchiladas, a tostada, two cups of corn, and horchata. I can't stop daydreaming about going back for more quesadillas, tostadas, and that incredible horchata! WOW, this meal was incredibly delicious, and I can’t wait to return and try the tacos! If you're looking for a meal that feels truly authentic, Alquisiras Paleteria is a must-visit."

The birria tacos are really excellent, but the soup is absolutely phenomenal! This place is a fantastic hidden gem! Additionally, the gelato is quite good as well!

This is an outstanding Mexican restaurant without any unnecessary extras. Everything we tried was delicious. My personal favorite was the enchiladas verdes! Food: 5/5

I cannot recommend this place more. The staff was so friendly. They have homemade soups and homemade chilled drinks. The beans are great! And the enciladas were delicious without being steeped in butter and grease.

Simple yet incredible and authentic Hispanic food. Great prices too! Will definitely eat there again, and I will recommend this place to others. Make sure to try their agua de limon y pepino (cucumber limeade drink). View menu

The food was fantastic! I enjoyed the elote and three birria tacos with sauce, and the portions were generous. The only downside to this location was the 25-minute wait to place my order. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 5 out of 5!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh! They have amazing pozole, tacos, tostadas and more! I moved to Uruguay and am visiting my family in Pittsburgh, so I had to stop here again for the food. The decor is great, and the food is authentic.

My friends I have been repeat customers at this restaurant for almost two years now! We drive an hour just for the food and the atmosphere..best authentic mexican restaurant I've been too, it even beats the ones i've visited in California! You won't be disappointed, this place deserves so much more recognition View menu

This is one of the rare, genuinely authentic Mexican restaurants in the city! Don't be deceived by the name; while their paletas are fantastic, they offer so much more. I highly recommend trying the birria tacos, tamales, and my personal favorite, the esquites! Also, make sure to sample the aguas frescas—they're large, refreshing, and ideal for a hot day!

The most authentic Mexican food and drink and ice cream I have had since living in Southern California. Seriously great food and the fresh juice is amazing. I highly recommend this place. The gentleman working was super nice My husband and I will definitely be back. And I do want to say something too. Remember everyone we are still dealing with a pandemic and things are hard right now. That being said there was only one man working that day and he was waiting on everyone as well and helping with making the food). If you want great food it's WORTH THE WAIT! He did an amazing job.
