"Because it was Valentine’s Day and we arrived to a packed (but not too packed house, I expected to be late in getting seated. But we were seated on time if not early at a cozy table. All the staff were very pleasant. We started with an old fashioned and a Manhattan, both good — and quick! Then came a fresh, warm and crusty baguette and butter. Then we had potato leek soup, delicious, and a hearty salad with lots of good stuff (olives, chick peas, avocados, roasted leek, frisé . Jeanette, our server, was absolutely wonderful—quick, pleasant, witty and helpful. She made a perfect wine suggestion and because I couldn’t decide, I let her choose my entree — chicken cordon bleu. We also had chicken forestière. BOTH were plentiful and awesome. The cordon bleu had a perfect crust on the outside, tender and savory on the inside. The atmosphere was lively with nice music, but not too loud. An all-around perfect experience."
