"Hace años descubrimos el mesón restaurante Apóstol de paso en un Camino de Santiago y es visita obligada cada vez que volvemos por la zona. Así ha sido de nuevo en este viaje por El Bierzo. Una atención estupenda. Aunque llegamos casi a las 4 de la tarde, nos pusieron de comer maravillosamente. El menú 15 € exquisito y barato en relación calidad precio. De primero arroz negro y pote berciano, y de segundo parrilla de carne y albóndigas jardinera, todo buenísimo. Y la joya de la corona su extraordinaria tarta de queso de cabra, un placer para el paladar. Todo regado por un vino del Bierzo que nos supo a gloria bendita ¡Enhorabuena! por el servicio amable, la buena cocina y la constancia por hacer del Restaurante Apóstol un lugar con encanto"

Se come muy bien pero tardan muchísimo en atender. Teniamos reservada la mesa a las 15h00, llegamos con unos minutos de antelación y salimos de allí a las 18h10.

the owner victor served our bike group one of the best dinners we had in Spain. he served us a wonderful tortilla espanola that drew rave reviews as well as cadry and an amazing cheesecake. he also gave us a delicious white wine from the region. I think it had a flower or a bird on the label. a really nice experience. View menu

we enjoyed a very good meal in this restaurant, the friends recommended. at the beginning we had an salad, otopus and pork warmer, all delicious. then we enjoyed the cute and meat lasagna, el churrasco (drilled steak) and cadjau. desert included a type of cake, a brownie and a pineapple tea (that was the best one- and wonderful) with coffee naturally!

apostol is housed in an old, restored building, very beautiful. the service was correct, although only 2 waiters had to take care of a very large group of tourist (bus tour) and a few smaller tables. as the first dish there were few choices (green salad, rice...salad, pasta salat. the seconds were small, but well tasted. I've never seen such a little chicken leg before, and the red wine was really bad. the menu was only €11, but I have eaten better for this price.
