"Our Christmas week gathering at Elk River Applebee's with an old friend started off quite well. Our server, Britnie S., was attentive, and when our meals arrived, everything looked appetizing. However, my fish and chips, while visually appealing, revealed a concerning issue: the first bite of fish was only slightly warm, the second was cool, and the third bite was cold and appeared undercooked. When Britnie checked on us, I mentioned that my dish was not at the right temperature and seemed uncooked. She promptly apologized and took it back to the kitchen. After a while, the manager came over to inform us that a new meal would be brought out shortly. By this time, my companions had nearly finished their meals. The manager presented the replacement dish about 4 or 5 minutes later, accompanied by an apology. Unfortunately, by this point, my friends had already completed their meals. I tasted one piece of the new fish, and it seemed to be cooked properly. When Britnie came back, I asked for a to-go box, which she provided along with the bill. The bill included my meals, showing two fish and chips, with one comped. I paid for the three full meals and tipped Britnie appropriately. Reflecting on this experience, I feel disappointed with Applebee's not only for the issue with the undercooked food but also because, considering the disruption to our meal and the extra wait time, I would have expected at least a discount on my meal or for the entire dish to be comped. At this point, I'm uncertain if I will return in the future."

Everyone enjoyed the boneless wings. The fish was good. Only suggestion is to not put cold items in with hot. Coleslaw was hot and not good.

Excellent Happy Hour 3-6 and 9-Close not sure this exact time Chicken Queacidia sp? is like a meal per se 1/2 price or $5, excellent. The cheese sticks are also delicious.

Initially, our server (whose name I did not catch) at the restaurant forgot my sister's request for crispy grilled chicken on her salad. Additionally, my husband sat in a sticky chair. These issues were brought to their attention, and they kindly made up for it by giving us dessert for two to take home. Our server was Sam, who worked hard on a busy Saturday night. He was friendly, efficient, and attentive. It had been a few years since we last visited Applebee's, but we were impressed with our recent experience. We tried the two for $24 deal, which included an appetizer and the delicious oriental chicken salad. The decor with its common artworks and pictures gave the restaurant a cozy, local feel rather than a standard chain restaurant ambiance.

Last Friday, April 29th, my daughter, two granddaughters, and I had dinner at Applebee's in Elk River. My daughter was experiencing a medical emergency, and we were grateful for the help of a nearby diner who happened to be a medic. Our waitress and the manager were also very helpful, calling an ambulance and keeping the situation as private as possible. The paramedics and ambulance service were also wonderful in assisting us with my daughter and calming the two scared children. After 6 days in the hospital, my daughter is now home. Elk River is lucky to have such caring people in the community.
