Good food but shocked by the prices. I hear everything is going up, but we will not be back often. Selection seems to have decreased. Love the carnitas, relleno, caesar w chicken. Nice setting on the patio.

Went here for a graduation dinner, had the green mole chicken and chop salad and it was all delicious, especially the handmade tortillas. The ambiance was perfect, warm lighting, music at the perfect volume. Great service as well.

When we arrived the hostess was going to sit us out front. I requested the back patio and our wish was accommodated. Very nice spot. Server was great. Beer was unusual but good. I had the dark lager. My wife had a lighter color lager. We ordered the arugula/fig salad which was excellent though over dressed for our tastes. That’s on me should have requested light dressing. I had the carnitas which was excellent. My wife had the short rib which was also quite good. We paired with a bottle of local red wine. Great place, great ambiance and solid food. View menu

This restaurant is such a hidden gem of Ojai! You can’t see too much from the outside but the interior is amazing, it has a couple of dining rooms and they are all charming in their own ways, we were seated in the dining room next to the bar and leads to the backyard so the space was halfopen, the ambience was perfect. Food wise we ordered spicy cauliflower which could be a bit too spicy for those who are intolerant with spice. But the entrés were spot on, we got Azu paella and short ribs and they were both delicious. Our server was amazing, and the other staff were all very friendly. It was a great dining experience and we would love to be back in future

Hi I have been a long time patron when I visit several times per year, I used to live in Ojai , I was very excited to be back and to eat at Azu, our favorite restaurant in Ojai but sadly the food was not what I remember, the salmon was cold, the mushroom Paella was bland and the mushrooms were not sautéed seemed like they were boiled and thrown in. And our sons carnitas were very dry and had no flavor .. the saving grace was the salad and the deserts which we loved.. i have given many five star reviews of Azu in the past for great food but sadly, it was just meh..Also the server rushed us to order and was like a typical diner waitress not what you would expect at a nice restaurant..

We really wanted to love this place. When you walk in, it’s a beautiful space. The restaurant is quite large. We were seated in a comfortable area and had lots of space around us very COVID safe. We ordered the chips guac to start. The guacamole was good but topped with large, uneven chunks of raw onion. The chips were tasty but very thin and broke in half when you tried to dip into the guacamole. We ordered the Pixie Smash and Blood Orange Gimlet. Pixie Smash was super strong heavy on the bourbon.
