Nocciola - Menu

GOOD taste vibe BAD service I don't know whether it's Nocciola style or not, but they put knife n fork roughly. Even he put my pasta down with the sound of plate. I didn't expect this kind of service from this beautiful restaurant. The last moment of visiting Ojai was not that cheerful with Nocciola.

Had a cozy, intimate, friendly and warm dinner on nocciola's patio. The restaurant is a converted Craftsman style house on a quiet, leafy street in the middle of downtown ojai. Seems to be the go for both locals and LA weekenders. Get the yummy California inspired Italian pastas, salads, appetizers, all carefully composed, presented, and delicious.

Cauliflower lobster bisque was outstanding, Rigatoni with sausage ragu also outstanding—the steak was unreal! cooked perfectly medium rare+ charred exactly as ordered—truly tasted amazing. served with a must try mustard sauce. Loved this place for its ambiance, good food, and attentive staff. They built a covered patio during COVID for outdoor dining. The patio is divided into 4 sections, separated by wood railings and, thus, so are most of the tables. There were plenty of tempting offerings in its menu, but we ordered the specials, lobster ravioli with a delicate curry sauce and snapper on a bed of spinach and mushrooms. Both were well prepared and large portions.

This is an amazing restaurant! The service is fantastic, the ambiance is lovely, and the food is truly delightful—I've got no complaints at all. The Cauliflower Hummer Bisque was outstanding, and the Rigatoni with sausage Ragu was also excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium-rare, just as I requested, and it tasted incredible. Both dishes were expertly prepared and came in generous portions.

I really enjoyed the lamb carpaccio, which was also quite tasty, although the seasoning was inconsistent; some bites were overly salty while others were not. The lamb shank was nice, but the sauce leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. Quick Summary Cool ambiance with the patio seating, especially in the back when you have the backdrop of the Ojai sunset. Food was decent (the highlights were the olive oil and the lamb carpaccio). Plenty of street parking available Food- 4 stars Food was decent but isn't worth going out of your way for Bread with olive oil- the olive oil was very solid and hearty. Really enjoyed it Lamb carpaccio- this was pretty good as well. The only downside is that it wasn't evenly salted (some portions were much more salted than others) Lamb shank- this was good, but the sauce was slightly too sweet.
