The food was delicious and they had a great selection of drinks on the menu. As is typical with tapas, the bill can add up quickly.

This place is good. I'm glad we left, but the hype was stronger than the place. The food is delicious, but some of the proportions were off. Like honey, cheese and apple, very tasty, you are not afraid to ask more bread! The staff was the best part, very sweet, attentive, knowledgeable and great recommendations. Thanks to our waiter (cute surfer haired white guy! I'm sorry I didn't remember your name).

Our server was quick to inform us about the vegan options on the menu. We decided to try all seven vegan tapas and were blown away by how delicious they were. The lentils, mushrooms with white bean hummus (which was more like a cheese sauce), and the cucumber-chickpea salad stood out as especially tasty, but really, everything was top-notch. The meal was also very filling with all the different dishes. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. (Updated review as of 04/23/2022)

The staff was excellent and very friendly. I feel bad leaving a critical review because I'm not some food connoisseur. That said, a couple plates did not inspire anything in me. Namely the steak kabob and honeycomb. The honey had a bitter aftertaste which may have been the dish's intention. The steaks seemed over-cooked. But enough criticism! The cheesecake stole the show! Our favorite meal in Kauai! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were fantastic. Everything we tried was incredibly delicious. We were unsure about ordering the Humboldt Fog Chess, a dish that has been on the menu since the restaurant opened, but it ended up being our favorite. The flavors were amazing. We couldn't get enough of the cucumber salad and even asked for the recipe. The lamb was outstanding. The atmosphere was great and the cocktails were delicious. Overall, a perfect 10/10 experience!

I tried for weeks to make a reservation but they were full. We walked up and while they were full, my wife mentioned the next day was my birthday. The hostess, Katie, treated me like I was Moses as she parted the Red Sea to make sure I could eat there on my birthday whenever I liked. We arrived the next night to a big smile from Katie and sat at a great table! The food is EXCELLENT!!! The broccoli dish was the best broccoli based dish I've ever eaten. The lamb chops were perfect! The meatballs were an unlikely final choice and THEY WERE GREAT! a real surprise. I don't think they have a pastry chef because the dessert didn't equal the dinner. The ambience at Bar Acura is great. The servers were very attentive and polite, they even helped us to our table a little earlier than we had booked. The wine list is also good, and they prepared some really good mocktails with local lilikoi. The food itself is average. We had tomato on bruschetta which was not a traditional pan con tomate, but more a tomato in balsamic sauce for you to dip bread into. It was too acidic. We also had the clams, which were tasty enough, but the portion size was too small.
