Great options for vegans and plenty of options to customize. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly.

One of my favorite restaurants in Phoenix. The vegan burrito is amazing, and vegan menu items are clearly marked.

Wonderful, wonderful meal easily a top ten dining experience. Innovative use of fruits like pomegranate in savory dishes totally delicious. Can't recommend Barrio Cafe highly enough... Guy Fieri knew what he was talking about!

Amazing food. So delicious! I was so full. I couldn't stop ordering. Great variety, something for everyone. The staff was very friendly and explains articles on the menu. Beautiful artworks and murals everywhere. I'll be back a lot! Great parking also!

I really wanted to like it and maybe it’s just what I got but for me it wasn’t super flavorful. The portion size was large, but items are on the pricier side. I got the Chiles en nogado. I would come again to try another dish. My friend got a tlayuda and it looked really good so maybe I’ll try that next time. View menu

Food and service were amazing! Started with shrimp quesadilla and some guacamole. I recommend both. For my main court I had chile en nogada and my husband had the share de mi tita. Both were amazing. Full taste and perfectly cooked. We finished with French-pressed coffee and cajeta filled churros.... also amazing!!!

Creativity comes into the laying of their dishes! Colorful wall paintings inside and outside the restaurant. The staff were friendly, attentive and willing to answer our questions of curiosity. The spin of the restaurant on fresh guacamole with pomegranates was colorful and tasty and definitely worth trying. Heiden with chicken meat is a hit or miss not consistently prepared and leans on dry overcooked. Great visual experience, but be prepared with your purse / wallet, do not try to justify the menu prices simply enjoy the experience! Note that the parking lot will be a great challenge, and look carefully for signs around the building, the "Kein Barrio Cafe Parking. ‘

This place uplifts and highlights local artists, which is super great to see. Our group got there just in time too. We got seated quickly and the place filled up fast. it was loud and lively. They seemed short staffed (which happens! , and they were attentive, although it took a while to get our full order in and to the table. If I end up here again, I would come around the same time (11 am and sit outside weather permitting. The food was amazing. we had the vegan relleno with whatever side it came with.
