"Interestingly, when we inquired about a soup we had never heard of, called Avgolemono, the staff kindly offered us a sample. They brought some over for us to taste, explaining how it’s made—it was a delightful surprise! We ordered our breakfast, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. The bacon was crispy and not overly salty, which is a nice change from what we’ve experienced elsewhere, and the home fries were fantastic! My husband had French toast, which looked incredible even though I’m not typically a fan of it. They used challah bread, and it was perfectly spiced with cinnamon and just a light dusting of powdered sugar to enhance the taste without overwhelming the delicate flavor of the bread. The coffee was also excellent! We will definitely be returning! The service was outstanding, and the staff really made our experience memorable."

The food is delicious and service friendly and helpful. As you can see from the photographs the portions are huge and the seating is comfortable Btw they also deliver and are pretty quick after lunch And dinner hours. The prices need to be updated on their website otherwise their reasonable and nice size portions As for the new owners they are always helpful and appreciate you dropping in .

My wife and I found this place randomly since we couldn't get to where we were going and we found a gem. This may have been my best diner experience. The food was very good, cooked perfectly. The server and others were extremely polite and friendly. We asked about a soup that we never heard of (avgolemono) and he gave us a sample, which was also very good. We will definitely be back to this diner again. View menu

Lives in this neighborhood for over 40 years for the first time eating here, not sure why, but it will be added to my regular from now on. We went along the road and decided to take a bite, glad we did it! The food was absolutely delicious the coffee was very good, which is very hard for diners to take off. Mike employees were so welcoming, so attentively checked us some times what really important to me when going out. Beautiful weather a fantastic meal is a perfect way to go yourself!!

We've been coming here even before the pandemic. This Diner is definitely one of the best. The customer service is always on point. The owner and the son are both very friendly. Servers are polite. Place is always clean. The food is very good compare to other Diner. The price is reasonable even after the pandemic. They require the vac card to dine in. We will definitely keep coming here. If your in Bayridge, Brooklyn try this spot you will not regret. Great job to everyone at Bayridge Diner!

I won't be dining there again. It's all about customer service! The owner understands that his business is essentially his livelihood, and he and his son are true professionals. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for one of the waitstaff. He seems to think he's irreplaceable just because he's been there for so long, but his attitude is awful! From now on, I can either make my own breakfast or choose from one of the many other diners in the area. We never know what's around the corner, but one thing's for sure: I won't tolerate being disrespected! View menu

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years, and this was my first time eating here. I’m not sure why I waited so long, but it will definitely be added to my list of regular spots! As we strolled down the avenue, we decided to stop for a bite, and I’m so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was excellent — a rarity in diners. The staff, led by Mike, were incredibly welcoming and attentive, checking on us several times, which is really important to me when dining out. With beautiful weather and a fantastic meal, it was the perfect way to lift my spirits!

I ordered a Caesar Salad and a Palermo Panini, and I must say, the experience was disappointing. Owners, please take the time to educate your staff on how to prepare the dishes you offer. First of all, a Caesar salad shouldn’t have tomatoes in it! And regarding the Palermo Panini, I suggest you review your menu and look at the accompanying picture. Where’s the fresh basil? Where’s the pesto sauce? And where are the sun-dried tomatoes? All I received were baked chicken, mozzarella, and marinara sauce—nothing more. When I inquired about it, the staff member claimed that sun-dried tomato pesto and basil were already included in the sauce. However, your menu explicitly states that there should b...

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
