"This is not the first time I have been to Ben's. I keep trying it because I keep hoping for a different result. I ordered chicken noodle soup with a matzoh ball. There were very few noodles and the soup didn't really taste homemade. The matzoh ball was good. I ordered a sandwich of brisket on a challah roll. I said to the waiter that I did not want it lean. He said he would make sure it was juicy. The brisket was extremely dry. Were it not for a can of soda, I would've choked eating it. The challah roll was very good. Sad because I love Jewish deli but this place has been consistently disappointing."

Food could be warmer. However, the waiter was superb. Best I've had in awhile. Definitely a place to go..... Question? I saw a sign advertising Brunch.... It said that Brunch served on Sunday but also on Saturday. How's that possible?

Very nice greeting and seated immediately; lovely waiter, explained our inquiries. Both soups were delicious and certainly conveyed “home cooked”! sandwich was good! Being a chilly day I was disappointed the restaurant wasn’t a bit warmer; not relaxing nor enjoyable eating when you’re cold.

I was in the nyc garment district at dinner time and craving a good old fashioned corned beef sandwich including good kosher garlic dill pickles and cold slaw on the table...starting off with a good iced vodka martini ...and Ben's Kosher Deli filled the bill on all accounts. two friends joined me with different requirements...and all of us were perfectly satisfied. YEA Ben's! View menu

we were starved for good kosher deli, the new jersey selection will be slim. requires a comfortable place in front of the billy joel concert, very satisfied with our choice. my skinny beef was not dry at all, pastrami was delicious. the cole Slav and potato salad cannot beat! beautiful that they have changed nothing in the course of the years (filling is a little tired youngs.)

Went 10 minutes before opening time on a rainy Sunday after Thanksgiving. Doorman/security was friendly and escorted us to a booth. Perfect order was mazzo ball soup and 1/2 pastrami... delicious! Not to salty and tender pieces of melt in your mouth pastrami. Soup was good but unremarkable. I should’ve requested toasted bread. Would’ve loved melted cheese but it’s a kosher restaurant!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
