"Bird Dog is more than just a place for great food - it's an experience that you will want to return to. The small and charming dining room makes you feel like you are dining with good friends. My family of four were the first brunch customers and we were impressed by the menu. The homemade biscuits with honey butter, hush puppies, oysters, French pressed coffee, arugula salad with radishes, waffles with hot honey, shrimp and grits, and eggs benedict were all exceptional. The hollandaise sauce was particularly outstanding. The fried chicken was juicy and crispy, brewed in tea to make it light and not greasy. The hospitality and service were impeccable. Despite living in Chicago, we plan to become regular customers at Bird Dog."

This could be the best fried chicken I have ever tried in Nashville.

While the food is good, the happy hour is a scam. It’s half price pasta for half portion. Just three bites of pasta for $20. Would not recommend. View menu

Great Happy hour service!! Everyone was very caring and attentive. Food was seasoned to perfection.Chicken and Dumping could use a little more seasoning, but other than that I’ll def come back.

Super cute restaurant with real dog pictures dressed up in costumes. This is the cutest restaurant in West Village. The pasta with vodka sauce is one of the best I’ve ever had, ghe server was really nice and sweet. The atmosphere is really cozy. View menu

The restaurant always serves delicious homestyle classics with a southern twist. The service is great and they are very accommodating to families with young children. We were able to bring our wiggly 11-month-old and still enjoy a lovely dining experience.

Bird Dog exceeded all expectations. I’m a southern gal living in New York and to have really good southern food with a twist was such a treat. Also Chris was delightful, the ambience is charming, and you cannot go wrong with the fried chicken. Will DEFINITELY be returning

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
