Enjoyed triggerfish and scallops, as well as excellent drinks!

The dining experience was disappointing. The food was not very good and quite pricey for what you got—a simple piece of fish with a side of rice and black beans. I won’t be returning.

We had a wonderful meal and exceptional service. While parking was a bit tricky, the manager stepped in to assist us. Overall, we both loved the experience, and our waiter, Daniel, was outstanding. View menu

We had a very pleasant evening with a fantastic menu. The price point was spot on for the high quality of food. A shout out to Ross a most friendly and knowledgeable server. Will certainly be back.

eating is good. but the run of the front of the house will leave a bad taste in her mouth. if they use well-run restaurants, they could be inline for a disappointing meal, and this is sad because the kitchen is really good. but they need to bring someone the skill level that is produced in the kitchen in the rest of the restaurant.

We had a great New Years Day dinner at Black Fly. The restaurant was packed, but we were seated in a quiet back room. While this room lacked the ambiance of the main dining hall, it was nice and quiet and the service was great. The food was outstanding. I had the Turf and Surf Fried Rice, which was packed with shrimp and beef tenderloin tips and was very flavorful. My wife had the Slammin’ Salmon and it was also delicious. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at the restaurant. The staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent, except for the hair I found in our bread basket. When I mentioned the issue to another server, he promptly took the bread away and a new order was brought out by someone else. Our waitress later came by to ask if we received the new bread but did not offer an apology or remove the charge from our bill, which was quite disappointing. I noticed what appeared to be the owner visiting tables, and he was very nice. It’s great to see business owners or managers taking the time to engage with customers. Teh first thing you see on their website is, Saint Augustine 's Premier Fine Dining . Blackfly is anything but! It 's more like an old, loud fish camp atmosphere. There are no tableclothes on the old kitchen style tables as you would think there would be in a Premier Fine Dining restaurant. I had the Triggerfish Lemon Pepper Dusted Triggerfish, Pan Seared, Served With Jasmine Rice, Black Beans, Cilantro Lime Crema, Fruit Salsa for $39. The fish was a thin filet that was overcooked, dry, and the only flavor was SALT. The rice and black beans were gummy and had absolutely NO taste. First the good. The bartender was amazing. I totally forgot her name but she was very knowledgeable and friendly. They have a very nice selection of top shelf bourbon, rum and tequila. Then we went to our table for dinner and it was not good after that. The waiter was horrible. He took forever to come to the table. Was not knowledgable about the menu. I ordered the chicken cordon blue it was so dry. I tried to eat it and could not, I had to ask for more sauce and that did not help. My husband told the server and he ordered me another one.
