"One of our usual favorites but a flop tonight. I asked for my salad with the dressing on the side and the server said they toss lightly in a vinaigrette as it enhances the flavors. Understand. I’d like my dressing on the side, please. Salad delivered tossed with dressing. Yes, I kept it and chalked it up as an oversight. At an 8:15 reservation we received our dinner at 9:30. Warm plates but cold food. We reluctantly sent it back and our server (doing her best) returned with our scallop and crab ravioli dinners “remade”. Odd since the 1/2 eaten scallop looked eerily familiar. Second attempt the plates were hot and the food was mostly cold. We shared the scallops and gave up on the bland ravioli and poorly microwaved and tepid potato leek hash and awful veggies. The server asked the manager to visit and returned to say he’d discount our dinner but wouldn’t be visiting. (See review from 2/22 must be shy). Everybody has a bad nite but for the manager to delegate this responsibility to the server is pathetic. Sorry to say, this was an epic failure and a disappointing $100 discounted dinner for two (no drinks). Canceled our 2nd reservation for this visit. Try the Sandbar, Traders, The Captiva Inn or Doc Fords for consistently awesome food managed by responsible professionals."

"absolutely phenomenal! we are food, and this is the best thing we are on the island and from any other place, honest. it was great. we went early, hung at the bar with kevin, who was pleasant and a joy to talk to, then to our table. we ordered the black reddish derée, petit portion and the roasted romainsalate. apparently it was the first or second night of a new menu. the food came out quickly, was warm and very excellent. can't say enough. we couldn't be happier and we'll go back every time we're in sanible. probably back on this trip!"

"Some of our favorite island memories are coming to the Lighthouse Cafe. The old location was special but the new location is spacious, clean, and has easy parking. Great food, fantastic service, awesome people, and one of a kind atmosphere. They can be busy (for a good reason) but are always accommodating and will take your name before you come to limit your wait. We always recommend LHC to start your day right!"

"-Gotta say, I been trying to get a table here for years.. true story. I tried almost all of the restaurants on this island, and everytime I wanted this place, it happed to be closed. Then one day, it just worked out. -The restaurant itself was huge (parking lot, building, tons of tables). Inside was nicely designed, looked awesome. Bathroom was super clean, so far was impressed. -Waitress was super nice, kept this great vibe going so far. -Then the food came. Maybe it was the fact that this place has finally been checked off our list, on top of already having a good day (so many outside influences could effect a meal), but I wasn't the only one that said this was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. It was ridiculously good, and I wasn't the only one that felt this way. I ate my meal, I tried some of another, both were worthy of a last meal. -This was long winded, but I just had to let someone know to stop in this place if they're hungry and on this island. -The waitress said the chef was named Mike, worked there for many years. -Well he was a wizard in that kitchen... Magic Mike..."

"Fantastic restaurant! The staff was friendly, the venue had stylish decor, and everything was spotless. They have an impressive drink menu, and even brew their own beer. Despite being extremely busy, we found parking and were seated indoors within 30 minutes. Our food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the mussels and clam chowder, and our little one especially enjoyed the chowder. For the main course, we chose two different grouper dishes, which were outstanding—the grouper was thick and cooked to perfection. Even the fish sticks for our child were tasty. For dessert, we had the carrot cake and chocolate mousse, and I must say, the carrot cake is among the best I’ve ever tasted. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant!"
