"Fantastic restaurant! The staff was friendly, the venue had stylish decor, and everything was spotless. They have an impressive drink menu, and even brew their own beer. Despite being extremely busy, we found parking and were seated indoors within 30 minutes. Our food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the mussels and clam chowder, and our little one especially enjoyed the chowder. For the main course, we chose two different grouper dishes, which were outstanding—the grouper was thick and cooked to perfection. Even the fish sticks for our child were tasty. For dessert, we had the carrot cake and chocolate mousse, and I must say, the carrot cake is among the best I’ve ever tasted. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant!"

First time visiting this area and stopped for a quick bite. This place was clean and tidy. All the food and the drinks that we tried were very good, so yummy. The waitress was nice and attentive. We had a great time here.

Great restaurant and atmosphere. The service and food were very good. I recommend the popcorn shrimp with the Thai chili dipping sauce, the BBQ baby back ribs, and the chocolate Ghirardelli brownie. Everything was delicious! Kerry was our waitress, she did a wonderful job and if she's available, I recommend asking for her.

Nice building with seating outside and of course inside. Food is fairly priced and very good. We had the fish sandwich $12.99) and chicken sandwich special $17). Both were very good. Dietary restrictions: Wife has Celiac and it’s usually hard to find a nice gluten-free restaurant. Doc’s has a gluten-free menu (ask for it) and even a separate fryer for gluten-free. Food was great, waitstaff were friendly and helpful—we even got great advice about local beaches! Definitely will stop by on our next trip to Sanibel island.

The food was excellent. It's not the same food you get at every other place on the beach, this food is different not the same old same old. I cannot recommend the Yucatan shrimp more, it was the best,biggest, most flavorful shrimp I've ever had. Sandy our server was just awesome, so friendly and happy to help us make decisions as we have never been there before. I can say this, it is worth the drive and I will be back soon!

This was a perfect place to get some shade from a long day at the beach! The MaiTai's were perfect and the food was amazing! The peel and eat shrimp was very good. I had the grouper sandwich without the bread with fresh fruit. It totally hit the spot. Michelle was our server and she was very friendly and made a recommendation for a beach for us to visit for our second round of our beach day and we are glad we listened! Had the BEST birthday dinner!! Definitely recommend the Key Lime Colada for hot days like this. The buffalo shrimp was a perfect app. I loved the penne with shrimp, but be warned, you might enter a food coma afterwards. We also got the seafood paella, which was literally bursting with flavor. The food was phenomenal, but the excellent service is what really made this dinner so special. The folks at Doc Fords, especially Margaux, made me feel so special. Thank you for a great birthday celebration!

10 out of 10!! Arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday expecting to wait but were seated in 10-15 min. Service was excellent and ambiance relaxed fun. Food is great! Big menu with lots to offer. We were immediately impressed by the variety of veggie and healthier options. GET THE YUCATAN SHRIMP! These buttery, (mildly) spicy, tangy peel eats are a signature dish for a reason. We could’ve eaten a bucket of these and still wanted more. Shrimp grits were also a highlight, and banana leaf red snapper was excellent. Everything perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and fresh. Finished with a massive slice of the carrot cake which was decadent and delicious.
