"we love to drive from lincoln to omaha only for block 16 vegan block burger with peanut butter and grill sauce (they must indicate that they want the peanut butter version of the vegan blockburger) and the vegan drachenfries. we are always surprised how small the bill is – the burger is only about $6. Vegan options are called a green leaf icon on the menu. my only criticism is that their website is not very user-friendly. the prices are not listed in the online menu. there is a “we are open” symbol displayed during the open hours, and we made the drive on the 4th juli just to find that they were closed despite their website asserted that they were open. there is a “order online” register card, but when clicked, it says “online order will come soon”. it has been like this for months. they still have to call the restaurant to order a pre-sale."

Love stopping here when I’m in town! The prices are pretty reasonable and the food will definitely fill you up. I love the sheer amount of cool and interesting vegan junk food and appreciate it so much.

Wonderfully hip little joint with lots of sandwiches that can be made into a vegan version. Couldn’t decide...sloppy nick, poutine burrito, block burger...I went with dragon wrap with seitan and dragon fries! Hell. YEAH.

I once had their vegan philly and LOVED it. Every time I’ve been back they haven’t had it again. Their veggie burger is pretty good. Their fries are awesome. When I was just vegetarian I had the grilled cheese and couldn’t finish it. Too greasy, not enough flavor. View menu

block 16 vegan options are limited, but what they have is delicious. I have the poutine burrito and poutine pommes (well what I liked as they do theirs.) that eating was extremely full and I ended up with home leftover, so happy for me that I could follow it two days.

I have heard GREAT things about Block 16 and was eager to try it. The burger I had wasn’t necessarily bad, but it wasn’t as great as I had heard. The fries were extremely salty as well. Overall I was disappointed in the amount and quality of the food served, and would not recommend this place.

block 16 has some really great vegan options - my personal favorite is the sloppy nod. they also have a burger and a poutine burrito that I have tried, both are good as well. fairly affordable, about $8 for a meal when I remember correctly. try it if they are ever in the city! updated by the previous review on 2020-09-25 View menu

I have the sloppy Nick-Good size, but not on the jalapeno cornbread or with cheeze as the menu said. the dragon wrap portion size was very small for $8.50 and had 3 pommes and 3 small pieces tempeh. the poutine fries were small and were without a cheeze. the elote fries were a greater part, but had no cheese on them. it was a weekend, so unnecessary to say that I am disappointed. updated by the previous review on 2021-05-22

I had the vegan sloppy joe and my husband had the dragon wrap with seitan. The dragon wrap was very good, and the sloppy joe wasn’t my personal favorite but I’m not upset I tried it. We brought our 3 year old daughter, and although she tried our food she wasn’t really a fan. No kids menu at all and no kid friendly seating. The only spot that was left for us on a Saturday evening at 6pm was a two person table. We waited in line for about 20 minutes before ordering. I’d come back to try the other vegan options, but without my daughter.

"First, the restaurant is super cool. You enter and immediately see the open kitchen and bar below. We were seated with a great view of the working kitchen. It was our anniversary and they presented us with complimentary bubbly and a menu that read Happy Anniversary at the top. Our server was prompt and kind. We ordered apps and our meal at the same time. Apps were a little slow but we don 't mind taking our time. The andouille sausage over grits was good but a bit oversalted. The croquettes were good but somewhat mushy. Overall flavor profile was good. Some time passed after completing our appys and began to notice the kitchen plating dishes and entrees being served to every table except ours. Again, not in a hurry so we weren 't upset. But it became excessive. Large groups seated while we had appetizers were served their entrees. Small tables seated after we finished our appetizers were served. The kitchen can put out food fast, just not ours. So now our apps are expanding in our belly and our excitement about our meals are diminishing. Finally our entrees arrived. My snapper raw. So sad. The gnocchi was ok but again, way over salted. But the flavor profile was so good. This had the ability to be amazing. My husband ordered the wagyu flank steak. It was just not good. He barely ate one piece and left his sides as again they were way way over salted. Our server noticed that we barely ate our meals and spent time asking for feedback. She was very kind and the manager discounted my meal (which I did not want, but appreciate). Anyway, we probably won 't be back. Good presentations. Very good flavor profiles. Failure to deliver overall though due to extremely salty, improper cooking and extraordinary wait times. Hopefully they can improve as some other recent reviews reflect similar feedback."
