"Love this place! Great craft beer selection in cans and on draft. There's a nice selection of wine too. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff is friendly! There's live music pretty much every night and sometimes there's food trucks too! My favorite hang out spot in Cornelius!"

"I had my wedding dinner at Choplins which I made months in advance. It took over an hour to get seated. The manager did nothing but give excuses. She was very defensive which we thought was unprofessional. Everyone ordered the same steak the ribeye and mine came out as a New York strip. Again the manager just gave excuses and said they were all the same. I’m from Texas and I know the difference. I was very disappointed in how we were treated. And the worse part is that it was my wedding day."

"However, when a waitress approached us shortly after we had sat down with our second plates and asked us to pay, I was caught off guard. I had a mouthful of samosa and gestured to her that I couldn’t speak at the moment, hoping she would take the hint and come back later, but she didn’t. Once I was able to swallow, I reminded her that we thought there was no rush. Surprisingly, she responded with, "You don’t want to pay?" Feeling a bit irritated by her timing, I said it was fine, and I would pay now. When I did pay, she didn’t even acknowledge it with a thank you. Afterward, the table next to us commented on how they saw the whole incident and mentioned that this is how payment is typically collected there. A gentleman from that table, who was born and raised in India, explained that this aggressive approach to collecting payment is a cultural norm. In India, he said, people often negotiate the bill only after finishing their meal, which makes servers a bit defensive about payments. I understand that different cultures shape our behaviors, but that situation left me feeling somewhat embarrassed, which was unfortunate because the food was amazing. I had been craving Indian cuisine since moving here from New York about two years ago. I’d love to come back with my parents, but I might suggest paying upfront to avoid the awkwardness. I gave the restaurant another chance, but unfortunately, I was quite disappointed for a few reasons. We arrived at 1 PM on a Saturday, and since lunch is served until 3 PM, I expected a good selection. However, there was very little food left—no samosas, no chicken in the Tikka Masala, and most other dishes were similarly depleted. I asked the owner if they planned to prepare more, and he assured me they were cooking additional items that would be out soon. Twenty-five minutes later, they finally began bringing out some food, but it felt like too little too late. Several other guests even left after seeing the buffet. The owner explained that they hadn't been busy earlier, so they hadn’t prepared much food. While I understand not wanting to overprepare, if you’re open for business, you should be able to serve customers. Otherwise, it might be better to close for the day. I left feeling very disappointed and don’t think we’ll be returning."

"This place is phenomenal. My oldest friend recommended this place to me and I decided to use it for my proposal dinner. I made reservations on Resy and made a note about the special occasion. My fiancee and I were seated at an intimate 2-person table next to the bar. A dry ice aromatic cocktail was set at the table along with 2 glasses of complimentary prosecco to toast our engagement. I'm sure the wait staff is excellent to the last person, but we were made to feel like we were the only table our waitress was tending for having our special dinner there. My fiancee ordered the filet and I got the elk steak, both cooked rare. I've not had a steak that was cooked so perfectly ever at a restaurant. I find that steak tends to come out over done by one temperature, but not here. We asked for rare and it was perfect. Both our dishes were excellent, but it was the quality of the meat that really stood out. We will definitely be coming back for any occasion we can justify it. I hear the bartender is a wizard; more to follow."

"Absolutely astounding. The indoor seating was slammed full, and even so a worker greeted me and took my takeout order. On suggestion I ordered the jalapeno cheddar biscuit with bacon, egg, and cheese and it was amazing. If you're not a fan of spicy foods, you can still enjoy the biscuit as the Jalapeno's have been cooked and are only mildly spicy. Flakey biscuit and fresh scrambled egg paired with krispy smokey bacon made it an amazing choice. I ordered a side of home fries and was very surprised not only by the perfect amount of seasonings, but also how evenly cooked and crunchy each piece was. The onions and peppers could have used a little more caramelizing, but the clean earthy flavor was still welcome. The chicken noodle soup was also recommended to me, and like the biscuit I was very impressed. The rich calogen filled broth needed just a pinch more salt to truly shine, but was still very enjoyable with the hand pulled chicken and perfectly cooked elbow noodle"
