"We had a bill of $114, and she took a $30 tip. The menu clearly states a 15% gratuity for parties of five or more, and there were eight of us. We received two separate checks. Everyone ended up tipping $15 each on bills of $61 and $59. The tip should have been calculated at 15% of the total amount, which was around $200 — meaning it should have been $30, not the paltry $17 suggested by her. She refused to acknowledge her mistake, insisting she was right when it was basic math. I asked to speak with the manager several times, but he never came out. After waiting for 10 minutes, I finally gave up. On the other hand, another staff member, Gale, was a bit more polite, but it seemed she didn't fully grasp the situation either. In the end, she removed the entire tip. I told her I was okay with leaving the 15%. Even after the whole childish debacle caused by the blonde, I still wanted to leave a gratuity for acceptable service. But after her outburst, why would I want to give her anything? I can’t understand her behavior. Was it a racial issue? Did she assume we were Hispanic and incapable of doing math? I didn't notice her treating anyone else this way. The food was okay, but I cannot recommend this place based on this appalling service. Our experience with Julian completely ruined our evening."

The burgers are excellent, and while it can be a bit chilly inside, the food overall is very good.

Horrible half cooked food. I sadly found a roach in the bathroom, and my family was brutally yelled at for not tipping enough.

Good place to get a bit. I like the buffalo burger with Fry's. Family place. Bathrooms are clean and the water comes in a mason jar (Pretty cool) Make sure to tip. Have fun View menu

One of our favorite places in Julian! Despite the busy weekend brought on by the lovely snowfall, the staff was extremely polite and accommodating. My burger was absolutely delicious as well!

Great burgers and fries, service is amazing, really recommend the big buffalo burger with fries, the fries are amazing, good price, nice and homey, the only thing was they gave my dad fries instead of potato salad, but they then let him keep the fries and have him a potato salad. 10/10

I wasn't planning to leave a tip, and when they failed to return my cash, I asked for it back and explained what had gone wrong. The server slammed my money on the table and said, "You can do whatever you want with it!" Well, I certainly will—and it won’t be at this restaurant again! Overall, just rude and disappointing. This place was fantastic. I'm a little late on reviewing, but visited them back in the fall. It was drizzly and freezing cold, my good friend myself and my two young girls were starving. So we come to visit here and the customer service was fantastic, food was great and delivered quickly. The burgers are fantastic. Will definitely visit again.

I had a great time at Julian and decided to dine at Buffalo Bill's restaurant. The experience was fantastic! I ordered the Bills Nugget Buffalo Burger with potato salad, and it was delicious. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so there can be a wait to be seated, especially with many tourists around. However, the wait is absolutely worth it for such amazing food!

"On Saturday, April 8, 2023, my friends and I stopped by. We frequent this establishment often after hiking in the area. We have lunch at Farmhouse 78 and then come nextdoor, to Julian 's. Half of my friends love this place. The other half say it 's overrated. I 'm actually not a pie person, but one of the girls in my hiking group is a Foodie and she has an IG for foodie content. She wanted to try this place; it was her first time. As I was leaving, my brother was holding the door for her because she was the last one picking up her order, and he is a gentleman. I noticed something was going on. There was an older Caucasian lady (staff) telling my brother, you shouldn 't be holding that door open, close it , in a stern tone. My Foodie friend heard and told her, He was just holding the door open for me . The staff member replied back with, Well, we are closing and we don 't want anyone to come in this way ! They held their tongue and just left. We were all in the car when they told the rest of us what happened. As an employee, she should 've just politely apologized or say it differently. My friends just spent over $100 there combined! The attitude was unnecessary. There was a couple on a motorcycle who witnessed it all, and they said, so much for chivalry . My foodie friend immediately deleted all of the content she made videos of to make a reel and give them some extra exposure. My Foodie friend also gave the final verdict on this place, she also felt that this place is over-rated and would not come back, not even if in the area."
