"This one-star review isn't just about the food. While it was mediocre—like the avocado salad, which had just one thin slice—the service was even worse. The waitress appeared uninterested in being there, and the service was incredibly slow. However, that's not the reason for the one-star rating. The real issue came to light when I checked my credit card statement a few days later. I noticed that the total was a few dollars more than I had intended to leave as a tip. It seemed that the waitress decided to add a little extra on her own. I consider that theft! I reached out to the manager, who didn't seem particularly concerned and offered to refund the tip. I asked for just a refund of the extra charge instead. Fast forward two months later, and I'm still waiting for that refund! I will never step foot in that restaurant again. This is completely unacceptable!"

Pleasant, lively ambience. Excellent food. One of Newton's greatest local restaurants.

If you're looking for consistent quality year after year, Cafe Sol Azteca is the place to go. Their main dishes are delicious and are served with generous sides, ensuring you won't leave hungry. They also serve the best sangria!

The chicken fajitas were exceptional. The service is 5 star! The owners take great pride in serving wonderful food and service to their patrons. The outdoor patio seating area is majestic under the stars at night. Not to be missed. View menu

I celebrated my graduation yesterday in this great restaurant. Well it was a awesome evening and the restaurant was absolutely one of the reasons for this outstanding meeting. The waiters helped in a gorgeous way, the food was very good and my buddies were extremely overjoyed. We shall absolutely return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

I don't often take time to write reviews but I absolutely love this place. Best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Guacamole is so good, margaritas are great, they have many delicious and creative options for vegetarians (often hard to find with mx food), service is good, and the ambience both inside the dining room and on the patio is absolutely lovely.

"I haven't been here in several years and this place has changed the menu since then. They used to serve crepes, but it seems like that is no longer on the menu. I miss the crepes they used to serve, but this place still seems like an excellent local coffee shop with sandwiches.Service: I was greeted promptly as soon as I walked in even though the worker was busy making a drink. They take your name when you order at the counter in the middle of the cafe, and they call out your name when your individual items are ready to pick up from the counter. They do not serve dine-in orders within 30 minutes of closing. There are tables on either end of the cafe, but not much, so don't expect a seat during peak times.Coffee: Served as is, the hot latte was foamy and velvety without any bitterness. Even though my order was to go, I was surprised to still see latte art when I took the lid off.Food: I ordered the Otom sandwich, which includes egg, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato spicy aioli, on your choice of bread. I chose to have on an everything bagel, which had a perfectly substantial amount of chewiness. The egg was overcooked and dry, but the rest of the ingredients, like the tomato and the aioli, covered up the dryness. The spicy aioli is mild but does add a nice small kick to the flavors. It is a fairly greasy and messy sandwich thanks to the bacon and aioli, so be sure to have a couple of napkins on hand. Overall, it was delicious."
