"The restaurant was very clean, and the prices were quite reasonable. The crab cakes were fantastic—much better than I expected, especially since they were served in the shell. The hushpuppies were among the best I've ever had, though I've only tried them a few times. They had a rich flavor that went beyond just batter or cornmeal. On that day, the fountain water was trickling slowly, so we found it easier to ask the staff to fill a cup for us from behind the counter, where the service was excellent. Both the bathroom and dining area were spotless. My husband particularly enjoyed the green beans, which were cooked with ham. They did mix up our sides or our main platter, but it wasn't a big deal. However, I found the fries and the fried fish to be rather unimpressive. Overall, it was the hushpuppies and crab cakes that truly stood out for me."

I'm not sure what the other reviews are referring to, but this is consistently the best Captain D's I've ever been to.

The staff was very friendly and greeted us as we entered. A team member came to our table to ask if she could clear some items away or bring us refills for our drinks. View menu

Great restaurant, but the drive-thru speaker needs to be fixed. My car got drenched while I was trying to hear what the employee was saying, but I still couldn’t understand her.

Really think that the Sunday manager needs more customer service skills, clearly she's mad because she's having to help because they was busy, she couldn't be sitting in the office doing much of nothing, would rather argue with customers about condements, redicious

I haven't had a fish sandwich from this place in years, so I decided to try the Spicy fish sandwich with cheese. It was absolutely delicious! The only suggestion I have is to switch back to the sub-style bread, as the fish was hanging out of both ends with the new round bread. View menu

I wanted to try the catfish sandwich. $7.99 remove from the wrapper very thin piece of fish hanging out of both sides of the bun...that when you pick you the top of the bun you find out it is 2 small pc with an empty middle of the sandwich. It tastedgood but too much for too little

Haven't eaten captain d's in probably a decade, decided to eat here and not only was the food good, the customer service from Mrs. Joyce and the other lady whose name I didn't catch, was phenomenal. The dine in area was clean, and the servers were going above and beyond. All in all a great experience.

"We started with the fig and goat cheese bruschetta, and I ordered the Truffle Gnocchi while my husband chose the special: Veal Wild Boar Bolognese. They brought us a basket of freshly baked bread accompanied by a butter that seemed infused with rosemary and basil—oh my, I could have just eaten that bread and butter all day! The bruschetta bread was slightly overcooked, but the flavor combination of fig, goat cheese, and arugula was fantastic. My gnocchi was rich, creamy, and melted in my mouth. The flavor was perfectly balanced and left me wanting more. The Veal Wild Boar Bolognese was also a flavor sensation! The meats were so tender they literally melted in our mouths. I really appreciated the Bolognese; the seasoning was spot-on, and I honestly can’t recall the last time I had Italian food where there wasn’t a pool of water or oil separating from the sauce. This sauce was just right. To top off our delightful meal, we ordered a couple of cannoli to take home for later. Even after a three-hour car ride and sitting on our counter for a few hours, the shells maintained their perfect crispness, and the filling wasn’t overly sweet. I have to say, their cannoli reminded me of Mike’s Pastry in Boston—a rarity for cannoli! The staff was friendly and attentive, greeting us right away and ensuring we were well taken care of without being intrusive. The décor was minimal yet inviting, and the restaurant was very clean and cozy. I’ve seen several reviews mentioning noise levels, and while it did get louder as more patrons arrived and music started playing outside, I thought it was reflective of the vibrant atmosphere typically found in Italian restaurants. After all, where in Italy would you find a quiet eatery? It’s all part of the experience of living and enjoying life! For those who prefer a milder dining experience, Olive Garden is just down the road. I highly recommend Frankie’s to anyone seeking great food and an authentic Italian experience in the U.S.!"
