"We walked in to a very clean establishment and were seated immediately. Water was brought to us as we settled in, and our drink orders were taken quickly. We ordered appetizers, which included fried green tomatoes and spinach artichoke dip, and they were absolutely delicious! However, the waitress took a bit longer to take our meal orders, and by the time she did, our appetizers were all gone. I had the BBQ burger with sweet potato fries, which was very flavorful, while my friends enjoyed a Cobb salad and a brisket BBQ grilled cheese, and everyone was satisfied with their meals. As it got busier, though, the waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed. Overall, we appreciated the clean and welcoming atmosphere, the fantastic food, and great company! We would definitely come back!"

"We came down from Janesville, Minnesota for a Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. My ol lady and I got this absolutely phenomenal air bnb just outside of Smithsville, Mo. We decided to head out and see what town had to offer for the day, we stumbled onto a smoking competition! Upon further inspection the local smoke house was still open to the public. I didn’t even spend a total of $50 and both the ol lady and I walked out with a doggy bag. We had the 3 meat platter, brisket was spot on perfection, the smoked sausage was legit melt in your mouth divine, the ribs were the best I’ve ever had in my life, the cheesy bacon potatoes I legit would swim in that stuff!!! The ol lady and I don’t do much sauce but we tried it all, the bold was my favorite, she really liked the sweet one, she even said she regrets not carrying a purse, “that one woulda came home with us” she snickers as we walk out stuffed!!!! Service was 5 star quality! We’ll be back! God bless!"

"I received everything I ordered including the arby sauce and horsey sauce packets. The fries were salty and old but still had a good taste. The beef n cheddar was good even if it seemed a little bit old. The Rueben was decent, would have been better if the bread were toasted by the grill. Jamocha shake was good like always. The coke was large and was sealed. To top it off, they actually gave me straws for my drinks."

"The place was dead as a doornail but the food was great. Recommend the Shanghai mein fan if you don't mind a little spice in your life. There are some negative reviews i noticed. Ignore them the food is great. No buffet after 3pm. Dine in and order from the menu or take out after 3pm until 9. I haven't had the buffet in years. If you get buffet the place isnt real busy with people dining in so i can't imagine the buffet is all that fresh. "The service here is friendly and quick. You can choose to walk up or use the drive-thru. The prices are reasonable and lower than at many other places. I had the spinach quiche, which was good—nothing extraordinary, but I finished it, so it must have been quite tasty. My husband enjoyed his ham and cheese croissant, and they even warmed them up for us. There’s a wide variety of food and drink options available. If the weather wasn’t so hot, this would be an ideal spot for takeout to enjoy by Smithville Lake. Just a heads-up, the food truck is easy to miss from the street, and Martin St isn’t very well marked, so keep an eye out."
