"UPDATE: If anyone doubted my initial review because it was based on only one takeout order, please read this update. I got up this morning, made a cup of coffee, took care of the dog and then when I tried to toast some bread, I realized the power had gone out since I made the coffee. I called GPU about the outage, and thought I'd just order breakfast. I ordered the same as before the Mary's Breakfast, except this time pancakes instead of French toast because I wasn't in a cinnamon/nutmeg mood. This was a bit of a risk b/c I'm not a big pancake lover. OMG, these pancakes are delicious. The breakfast arrived fast and perfectly wrapped. The egg yolks were unbroken,, and everything was hot and fresh. I can't say enough about this place. I will update this review again if I dine in the restaurant sometime, but my 5-star delivery experience from Mary's Place has been repeated. Excellent food and price. INITIAL REVIEW This review is long overdue, and unfortunately, there's a bit of a story attached, but the story is important for context in my appreciation of this restaurant. On the solar eclipse day this year, my husband traveled to Indy so that he could be in the totality, but I had to work so I stayed home. The morning of the eclipse here in Gallatin was rainy and dreary and I just was not feelng it, so I ordered breakfast from Doordash from a place I'd never heard of since I've lived here less than a year now, and it was Mary's Place. I ordered a comfort breakfast: two eggs over medium with french toast and extra bacon. I wasn't expecting much because delivered breakfasts can be problematic, but I was starving and had work, and the weather was awful. The food arrived really fast, and was EXPERTLY packed. One thing I dislike about those styrofoam clamshell food delivery boxes is the steam that builds up, going on to dampen the food. Mary's Place carefully and delicately wrapped each item in foil within the styrofoam box so no steam. The french toast was not all soggy and the eggs were still hot. The eggs. Most restaurants are not reliable in cooking eggs over medium. Either the white is not uncooked or partially so, or the yolks are no longer runny. Mary's Place cooks the perfect over medium egg--and neither yolk broke in transit! Who needs the sun when you have two glorious molten yolks to start the day? This healing meal turned my day around. It was absolutely perfect--and it was SO INEXPENSIVE. I got all of that food for $13 (not including Doordash charges). I really want to go to Mary's Place in person. If you like a really good breakfast, an old-school breakfast in which cooking technique and ingredients shine, not gimmicks, go to Mary's Place or order from them as I did. You won't be disappointed."
