"Arrived early on Easter Sunday for our reservation, as I was walking in the front door a man was coming out, he got in to his car and could hear him telling his wife they are only taking customers with reservations . When I got to the hostess I informed her that we were early for our reservation and was wondering if we could get our table early and she said would try but it would be a half hour, I said no problem, she said to have a seat at the bar. When I looked at the bar for a seat there was a Reserved table sign at every seat open, which looked very odd, plus there were multiple tables open. We decided to sit in the upper level Lounge area to wait for our table. I approached the bar to try and get some drinks while we waited. I caught the attention of a older short waitress at the opposite end of the bar and she did not seem happy that I was looking for service, she gave me a dirty look and said what do you need, I said I wanted to get drinks, she immediately became very defensive and asked where is your table, I said we are waiting for our table. She immediately started yelling I don 't have time, I 'm to busy taking care of other customers and turned away, making a huge scene in front of customers sitting at the bar. After going back to the lounge area the same waitress started yelling across the room at the hostess, which could be heard through the hole restaurant. We felt sorry for the hostess she had everything under control. We just wanted to get a drink from the bar while we waited for our table. Even though they weren 't very busy our food took over an hour, while getting the check I saw the older waitress taking the Reserved table signs in front of every bar seat down. No customers ever sat at the bar seats that were reserved, she was just trying to keep potential customers from sitting at the bar. I was blown away by her actions to go out of her way to drive away business. It 's to bad, this place has a lot of potential, with a lot of hard working staff and one bad apple."

Pretty busy for a Wednesday at lunch. We had sandwiches which came quite fast. Our server was kind and attentive.

Quiet atmosphere with traditional and unique menu items. If you're in the area, 1850 Patio Grill is the place to stop. Relax, enjoy a drink and a fantastic meal!

The service was friendly, but it was extremely slow. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes without receiving our food, and it took about 20 minutes just to get each drink. Overall, it was not a great experience.

Check out the specials at this place. They have some awesome specials and homemade soups daily. Don't come in a rush, as it isnt always quick, but the homemade soups and off menu specials are definately worth stopping for! View menu

I am so very pleased that Waterloo has such a wonderful dining/hangout with friends place to go. The food is marvelous and the staff is above and beyond. Thank you for continuing to make our get togethers memorable as well as making us feel like family.

Overall, the food was quite good, and we found the prices to be very reasonable given the nice setting. Our meals were served hot and fresh, though I would advise against the chocolate lava cake, as it didn’t quite meet our expectations. On the whole, our sandwiches were delicious, served hot, and exactly as we ordered. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
