"This was our third time here since discovering it a couple months ago. We love this restaurant the food, ambience, staff, management, service and experience. It’s amazing! We first came with guests and keep coming back to treat more guests. Today, we brought my brother who’s visiting from LA and said their garlic naan was the best he’s had in his life. His sister in law who lives here joined us and she agreed and said the food was “unreal”. Chola always exceeds our expectations! Thank you!"

Attentive wait staff. Excellent food. We had a variety at our table and everyone really liked the starters and their entree. We'll definitely go again. Be sure you have your vaccination card with you. View menu

my man can't have garlic and they were on top of it before we even asked our server for it. they were very helpful to make suggestions. most restaurants and give them something bland and boring. chola served lenses and salmon without garlic and they were delicious. the service is top-notch and eating is delicious.

Excellent meal at Chola! Delicious southern Indian food and superb service- we asked our what the green leaf was in our curry and he went to the kitchen and brought out a plate of the fresh curry leaves to show us! Loved the instrumental Indian music in the background too. Food allergy friendly too! Will definitely go back!

Couldn’t believe we’d never been to Chola as it’s in the neighborhood. The food is excellent as is the wait staff. We had a large group that included a stroller and everyone was very accommodating. Some type of wet wipe or finger bowl would be nice after eating the crab dishes they are covered in delicious curry but served in shell so it’s a bit of a mess. Overall a great dining experience we will be back! View menu

Chola is an excellent Indian restaurant located in Midtown NYC. They offer both reservations and walk-in seating, making it convenient for diners. The menu features a distinctive selection of dishes inspired by the coastal regions of India. We sampled the Chicken Chili and Bombay Duck fry, both of which were absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we chose the Black Pepper Chicken and Malabar Paratha. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.

The food was excellent, and authentic. On a Tuesday night we visited, the restaurant was not busy, so it made for a really nice, quiet dining experience. Would recommend the restaurant to anyone. A note about the cocktails though they sound exotic in their descriptions, order carefree, as they do not stray too far from the traditional. The only reason I dinged them on the atmosphere is because the staff was preparing for the next day's lunch buffet while we were still enjoying our dinner.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
