"After a long day liming on the Parkway for Carnival, I decided to check out this place to take food home for myself, my 13 year old niece and 8 year old nephew, HUGE MISTAKE and never again. We started eating this food at around 630PM and by 900PM my niece and I were taking turns in the bathroom, sadly this continues as I type this message. We both ordered the jerk chicken, which tasted nothing like jerk and more like baked chicken smothered in BBQ sauce. I noticed something was wrong after eating two or three bites, and my niece did as well, at which point we threw it out. Fortunately, my nephew didn't get ill since he ordered something else. Sadly, my niece had track practice at her school today and cant participate since she's spending the entirety of her practice in the bathroom and I had to take a sick day following a holiday.STEER CLEAR!"

Try all of the amazing dishes at Oxtail - curry goat, escovitch, plantains, and patties! The portions are good sized and delicious. Highly recommended! <3

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I had higher expectations for the service, and the food was poorly prepared—overcooked and lacking freshness. View menu

I have been dining at Chris' restaurant for years, even when he was at a small spot on Nostrand Avenue. The food has always been amazing, the servers are friendly and remember everyone's orders, and they know what you like. This is not only the best Jamaican restaurant in Brooklyn, but it also has reasonable prices and the owner is incredibly sweet. I love you guys!

I have been dining at Chris’s for five years now, and every experience has been fantastic. The staff here are genuinely kind and friendly. The food is incredible in both taste and portion size. The jerk chicken is flavorful, and the rice, cabbage, and plantains are equally delicious. It's a wholesome and satisfying experience for both the body and soul. I love visiting Chris’s, even though it’s a two-hour commute home! Recently, I started trying their jerk chicken pastry, which is also succulent, juicy, and delightful. Thank you to the wonderful team here for making each visit worth the two-hour journey!

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
