"This is hands down some of the best food I've had in the whole triangle area. I've been craving authentic Chinese food and Chuan Cafe would hold up against what I have back in the DMV area. It's even worth driving 45 min from Durham. The place is located in the absolute middle of nowhere, but the restaurant itself is cute and generally pretty empty. It seems to be family owned and the server was very sweet. Don't expect 5 star table service lol. It's bare bones in that sense, but you're really here for the food.Szechuan cuisine is known for its spice, so expect chilis and chili oil in most dishes. The Bamboo Flounder Fish is an absolute MUST! It's one of my favorites so I was so excited to see it on the menu. It doesn't stay crisp when you order to-go, unsurprisingly, so dine in to get it fresh. I also highly recommend the Steamed Chicken Slices in Chili Oil, which is a cold appetizer. I've tried the Toothpick Lamb, Double Cooked Pork Belly, Mapo Tofu, and Green Beans (a classic . Sometimes the dishes lean a little salty and the mapo tofu was not my favorite iteration of the dish, but I've been really impressed as a whole. I think if you order more typical American Chinese dishes (egg roll, dumplings, fried rice, chow mein, orange chicken you will be sorely disappointed. There's not a whole lot of authentic Chinese food in North Carolina, so I highly recommend trying something new when you come! There's still so many more things on the menu I've been eyeing, so I'm gonna continue making the trek to come here :"

This is the real deal for Sichuan Chinese in Raleigh. Every meal has been great and they are super friendly. It's also legitimately spicy. If you ask for it hot, it will be ????.

Probably the most authentic Szechuan food I've had. This includes places in New York and Philadelphia. The owner is super friendly and offers great service. If you want a TRUE taste of Szechuan, China, you MUST try this place.

The world?s most bland lo mein. Literally not one ounce of flavor. Oily noodles and dry flavorless beef. And the gyoza were tasty (not made in house) but an order is only 4 dumplings for $7. Jokes on me for not paying attention to that part.

We got take out from here tonight. We got sesame chicken, generalTso’s chicken, eggplant, and scallion pancakes. It may be the worst chicken I have ever had. Tough, chewy, fried nuggets that clearly used poor quality meat. The eggplant is in a greasy oily sauce. Very disappointed and spent more than $100! Go elsewhere. View menu

Portions are extremely small the Creamy Custard Bun are not even steamed and the custard its not even Custer its like a cookie you bite into. its not smooth like a custard should be and the Dan Dan Noodles portions again is super small as well as the Scallion Pancake. Pretty disappointed especially for price. I give a 2 star review only because the Dan Dan Noodles taste okay.

Its hard to find good Chinese food that makes it authentic way while travel to unfamiliar places. Ive tried beef noodle soup and Mapo Tofu and its very good. Love the Szechuan Chili Wontons (6 , they use thin wonton wrapper which is more authentic than other restaurants that Ive tried (sauce nit so much . I have sensitive stomach and this is the only chinese restaurants that doesnt give me aches after. Thank you for the clean and yummy food :

I love this place and can?t compliment it enough! If you love authentic Sichuan cuisine then this is the place for you. Not a single complaint about anything I had. The fries were divine and I LOVE the spicy wontons. The green beans are insanely good. There really is nothing I didn?t enjoy. Do yourself a favor and try them out. The pricing of menu items is fair and reasonable. The location is a little odd (wouldn?t expect such a gem there) but had plenty of parking. I?ve View menu

I love this place! I've probably ordered delivery from here at least 5 times over the past month. The bamboo flounder fish is definitely my favorite! The toothpick lamb is so flavorful and tender and fun to eat! The fish with hot pepper scared me at first...I'm no stranger to Szechuan food but this had a different type of burn I've never experienced before.. After eating it for a few minutes I decided I really liked it and the leftovers were excellent heated up! The spicy

We ordered delivery from this restaurant. We were very pleased with the quality of the food and the rapid delivery. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Stir Fry Chicken and Mushrooms, Vegetable Fried Rice, and Pork Buns. There was a large portion of chicken as well as mushrooms in the Chicken and Mushroom stir fry. The food was tasty and well seasoned. The portion size was large enough to have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. We have been looking for a go-to Chinese food restaurant. I think we have found it!

"I've been to the new Irregardless twice now. Once for a rather disappointing late brunch and a second time for a fabulous welcome back to town dinner. Their prices have definitely risen to The point where I won't be able to visit as much as I used to (and they also don't know what Eastern versus Western BBQ is, but I won't hold that against them). They're very conscious about vegan options and the dishes are still as high quality as I remember them being under the old management. Disappointed not to see any Raleigh brewing on the draft menu but the drink menu was very good. I got the most expensive vegan option of course. A North Carolina BBQ prepared maitake mushroom on mashed potatoes with a gorgeous, perfect amount of broccoli. Now the fiction kitchen has an Eastern BBQ plate which I love So I was very surprised when it showed up with a ketchup/tomato-based sauce. It was delicious Even though it was a western NC style barbecue sauce. Haha (My mom got the salmon The time blackberry cheesecake was divine. I hope they keep that one around because I'm definitely coming back for another slice. I'm happy to report that the staff are excellent, warm, friendly, and professional. Our waitress was friendly and delighted to answer all of our questions since we hadn't been for dinner yet. Brunch, the music was a little loud and by the time we actually got a table they were out of everything we wanted to order which is a little disappointing and speaks to poor planning. We did get was small but delicious. Not sure I would try brunch again unless I was really hankering for their brunch specifically and if so I would get a reservation a week ahead of time. As a person who's gone to this specific restaurant for over 2/3 of their life, I'm just glad that it's still exists and is in such good hands. I just hope they read up a little bit more on barbecue in North Carolina. And make more vegan things"
