"The Chuck Wagon is Ellingtons brrakfast and lunch jewel!! It is like stepping back in time to a coffee shop from the sixties. The food is outstanding, the waitresses are wonderfully friendly and attentive. Exactly what you want in a small country town restaurant. My favorites are 2 scrambled FLAT with bacon and wheat toast. I say flat because you can also order them fluffy but flat is so tasty! The bacon is thick cut, and tastes amazing (i am not kidding best i have ever had) coffee is excellent. For lunch, my favorite is the turkey club with fries. I usually eat half of it and save the rest for another meal!!! Milkshakes are awesome. Enjoy!!!"

Had a pretty good breakfast. Busy on a Sunday morning but worth a little wait. Food was great and portions were generous. I saw a lot of kids enjoying waffles and ice cream. ?

Your classic hometown breakfast spot. They got your regulars eggs, home fries, toast, and bacon for a great price. It's a perfect downtown location. Also their milkshakes.... amazing

What a wonderful little local establishment! The breakfast menu is fantastic and has so many tasty options. This place can get quite busy though so it's best to come on an off day during the week instead of on the weekend or be prepared to wait. Also, they only take cash so make sure you are prepared for that.

My new favorite breakfast place. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fast and friendly, and the food comes out quickly. Other restaurants I can think of could learn a few things from this place. The only down side is it's cash only, but they do have an ATM in case you forget to bring cash.

eating was honest a 4.5 star rating, but a cash only business in 2022!? tax evasion. I really don't know how a business in 2022 only exists as cash. I had to drive 8 minutes to a cash machine to pay a fee of $2 to buy the food. they have a cash machine in the restaurant, but it is high fees. that's crazy in 2022. but that was ingenious? excellent breakfast! we are from long island and were here a few months ago when visiting friends. as we came to the same friends for their high-time weekend, we were determined to make another trip to the chuck wagon! love the old style atmosphere with the antiservice and see the cook actually cook their meal. the waitresses are all really nice, sometimes the money is just getting annoying, but eating is worth making sure they have money on them!

This is a lovely restaurant with great food and very reasonable prices. It's definitely worth a visit. One charming feature is the horseshoe-shaped counter with about 15 stools, making it perfect for individuals or small groups. Just a short 20-yard walk away is the town green, which features a beautiful gazebo—a wonderful spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, breakfast, or lunch. Keep in mind that they only accept cash, but there is an ATM on site with minimal user fees. Parking is convenient, right in front of the restaurant. Located in the heart of Ellington, Connecticut, it opens early every day.

"Driving back home from Hartford to the Boston area, my wife searched Google for a place to eat off I 84, and Flavors of Nawab was her excellent choice. The reviews were a little overwhelmingly positive, which left us a little suspicious: Did they hire an unscrupulous firm to make up reviews? Turns out, it's just that good. The food and service are top notch. Everything we ordered was a little different from other places, in the way that every family has their own recipes, their own take on classic dishes. But more importantly, everything was delicious. My wife ordered the mutton korma, and we shared the pani puri appetizer, palak paneer, and their home made mint lime drink, all wonderful. Some people might be a little hesitant about the thin sauce that comes with the pani puri: it smells a little sulfurous, but don't be discouraged. It tastes fantastic. The acid from the lime and the cooling from the mint helped with the spiciness, but even without that, the flavors would have kept me digging in. The entrées alone would have earned the 5 star rating, but it all worked so perfectly together.Dessert was something I had never tried: falooda with ice cream. The high quality but straightforward Ice cream with a red syrup was on top of a delicious pudding with, I think, noodles mixed in! Sounds weird to this American, but it was great, and made a nice pairing, different textures, different temperatures, different flavors...And if all this wasn't enough, as we were driving away, they chased us down... my wife had left her purse, and they sprinted across their parking lot to make sure we didn't drive off!We pass this way frequently, driving from the Boston area to points south and west, and I look forward to trying more of their menu. There is no aspect of this place that is anything other that fabulous.TL:DR Eat here. It's really good.Vegetarian options: They have an excellent assortment of vegetarian options (vegan, I'm not so sure about .Kid friendliness: They have a nice, boring kids menu French fries, chicken tenders, and the like to satisfy boring but picky kids' palates, while the parents can get something different and lovely. For the more adventurous kids, they also can adjust the spice levels, so you don't melt your children's faces off. :"

"However, my wife did hear the comment about the reservation, which was emphasized. If we were misled regarding the seating arrangement, that's an issue. While I did not mention it during the confirmation call, it seemed like there were reservations set aside for certain guests. Additionally, I didn’t bring up my wife's birthday during our visit (not a major concern, though). Throughout the many years we've dined at this restaurant, we’ve never had a negative experience regarding food or service. We have even recommended it to friends because we love it so much. The food and service have always been exceptional, just like they were on 7/8. We have been visiting Lepri since it opened. We are not regulars, but we do go for special occasions. The restaurant was closed for vacation, but in the past, they have always contacted us to confirm reservations. My wife's birthday celebration on Friday, 7/8, was no exception. The food and service (shoutout to our wonderful waitress, Emma) were excellent, but the overall atmosphere felt a bit off. We had requested seating in the front room but were taken to the back instead. When we pointed out our request, the hostess informed us that the front room was reserved for regulars. While it's understandable that regulars have preferences, it felt as though non-regulars might be treated differently. The restaurant offers high-quality food and consistently delivers great dishes, despite having a limited menu. However, if they prioritize the needs of regulars over others, we might reconsider our future visits."
