"Solid food! Solid service! After reading the other reviews we decided to pop in for a late lunch. We had skipped breakfast and was starting to cross over in to 'hangry '. I wanted everything on the menu ,but decided to order the fried banana peppers, shrimp platter, fish tacos and the shrimp and grits. Everything we had was delicious and fresh. The shrimp and grits were the star of the show and definitely a winner with a different take on a classic. We met the owner and had a long conversation about all the fresh ingredients and flavor profiles. She was super nice and engaging. Can 't say enough. If you 're tired of all the usual over fried, tourist traps down here I suggest kicking off your shoes and heading to the Barefoot Grill for some great food at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back!!"

"We were celebrating and this was the worst experience we have had at Fishers. Through the years we have celebrated birthday engagements promotions etc and it has always been a great experience but this time it was awful. Food was terrible steak over done, shrimp over cooked Smokey and no taste two pieces of small bread for two people service was horrible had to keep asking for things, server just keeping apologizing for forgetting things just not what you would expect for this type of restaurant and the restaurant was slow , so no excuses. Menu is limited much more than in the past and prices have gotten more expensive. I don’t mind paying for good food and service but this was not either. Not sure what happened but will not be back"

"The decaf coffee here was chef's kiss. This was one of our favorite breakfast spots during our visit to Gulf Shores. Finding a good coffee shop is easy, but finding one that also makes a great decaf coffee is hard. The decaf coffee here was perfection. They have something called a Hollah on the menu. We came after breakfast hours, so that was our only egg option. FYI, breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The egg and cheese Hollahs were okay, but we didn't order them again. They were just very bready and average in my opinion. Mine was also not fully heated so the middle was a little cold. I would totally recommend the the other breakfast items and the desserts/pastries over the Hollahs. We got their vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting, and it was so delicious. The cake had the perfect consistency, and the frosting was divine. Their biscuits and quiche totally hit the spot! The quiche had a flaky yet crisp crust, and the biscuits were one of my favorite items here--and I'm picky with my biscuits."

"Had a lovely experience. Arrived at noon for brunch/lunch and was seated outside immediately. Our server was warm and welcoming. The area was clean and be service was excellent. The food is for the most part really good. Hubby immensely enjoyed his breakfast tacos and my Bama chix was literally the best thing I’ve had on this vacation. The kids split a child’s pancake and they still couldn’t finish it (the portions are large). The pancakes weren’t anything special but still decent. The beignets were a bit overcooked and the outside was hard. The strawberry dip that paired with it was good but overpowered the beignets themselves. They didn’t skimp on the powdered sugar though! Overall had a great time and would encourage others to give them a try!"
