"The locals might refer to this as a small plates restaurant, but I wouldn't consider four ribs to be small. While it's not quite the size you'd find at the Cheesecake Factory, in 99% of the world, this would be an entrée portion, so don't go overboard. We ordered four dishes for two hungry adults and still had leftovers to take home. The food was enjoyable, and the cocktails and specialty beers were even better. I would suggest skipping dessert, though."

Really good food. Definitely pricey for the portion of food you get. Friendly staff and very nice ambiance. I dont know how to feel about the additional 3% tip for the kitchen on top of the usual tip tho.

I had dinner at the bar, and Kevin, the bartender, was exceptional. The milk punch cocktail was amazing! Every dish we ordered was prepared to perfection and bursting with a variety of flavors. I will definitely be back soon!

The food and cocktails were exceptional! We sat outdoors and savored the most delightful, delicate, and unique flavor combinations. I especially loved the tuna dish, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger! The $1 oysters were the best I’ve ever had! View menu

Comedor is a wonderful place for small plates and delicious drinks. Their cocktails and limited draft beer selection are truly outstanding. The excellent service is worth mentioning as well. I will definitely return on weekends to check out any new dishes they may have on the menu!

Excellent as always. Favorite restaurant in Newton. Lamb anticuchos (skewers) and BLT burger were outstanding, mushroom carbonara and fried broccoli very good. Beet honey cocktail (off-menu) really really good. Bell's Two Hearted on draft. Tempura fried brownies with dulce de leche as good as ever.

I think the locals define this is small plates, but 4 ribs is not small, it is not cheesecake factory size, but in 99% of the world this is an entree size so don't overdo it. We had 4 plates for two hungry adults and had takeout left. The food was good, cocktails and special beer better. Would recommend to skip dessert. View menu

This is a cozy and lively bar and restaurant. The food is presented in small plates, making it ideal for sharing and sampling different dishes. While the prices are somewhat elevated, the flavor more than makes up for it. It's an excellent spot for date nights or getting together with friends. The dessert, the Tempura Brownie, is truly exceptional!

Newton is lucky to have this wonderful place. Nothing could be better than sitting at the bar enjoying one of their amazing cocktails and some small plates. The patates frites are incredible, and the pork ribs as well. Beet salad could have used a tiny bit of kick, but still delicious with pistachios. Peach Interrupted cocktail (with jalapeno) was fantastic.

"I haven't been here in several years and this place has changed the menu since then. They used to serve crepes, but it seems like that is no longer on the menu. I miss the crepes they used to serve, but this place still seems like an excellent local coffee shop with sandwiches.Service: I was greeted promptly as soon as I walked in even though the worker was busy making a drink. They take your name when you order at the counter in the middle of the cafe, and they call out your name when your individual items are ready to pick up from the counter. They do not serve dine-in orders within 30 minutes of closing. There are tables on either end of the cafe, but not much, so don't expect a seat during peak times.Coffee: Served as is, the hot latte was foamy and velvety without any bitterness. Even though my order was to go, I was surprised to still see latte art when I took the lid off.Food: I ordered the Otom sandwich, which includes egg, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato spicy aioli, on your choice of bread. I chose to have on an everything bagel, which had a perfectly substantial amount of chewiness. The egg was overcooked and dry, but the rest of the ingredients, like the tomato and the aioli, covered up the dryness. The spicy aioli is mild but does add a nice small kick to the flavors. It is a fairly greasy and messy sandwich thanks to the bacon and aioli, so be sure to have a couple of napkins on hand. Overall, it was delicious."
