"As a steak lover, I wasn't exactly thrilled about spending months in the seafood region of our country. However, during my two-month stint in Houma for the Gulf oil spill, I decided to try Copeland’s in New Orleans. To my surprise, I found a fantastic steak that completely disproved my skepticism about finding good meat in this area. Once a week, I treated myself to the best steak I've ever had, served by an incredibly charming waitress named Brooke. It was an experience not to be missed. To top off my meal, I had the Bananas Foster, which Brooke personally brought to my table – it was divine! I highly recommend that anyone in the Houma area visit Copeland's, ask for Brooke, and let her know that Mr. J. sent you."

I visited Copeland's of New Orleans in Covington, Louisiana, and I encountered a problem when they didn't accept my Lancelot card. On Wednesday, June 26, 2017, the air conditioning was out, and it felt a bit warm inside. Since I currently don't have A/C at home, I really empathized with the employees who had to work in those conditions. However, every meal I've had there has been excellent, and the waitstaff has always greeted me warmly.

"The service was top notch, our server Phillip was very well versed in the menu, he knew the daily specials like he created them himself. He’s my favorite server there, always polite and makes the overall experience better than it could be. The food was excellent as always. We are very lucky to have such a great restaurant in this small town. I’ve travelled to many places and never received the service and quality of food that is put out at this place. "This place used to be hit or miss- the past few times its been miss. We ate there yesterday and none of us could even finish our food. My husband, children, and parents all had the same complaint- TOO SALTY. The beans just tasted like they poured a ton of salt on it. The shrimp wasn't cooked all the way. Messed up om another meal. The waitress seemed like she had an issue waiting on people. Won't be coming back."

"12/13/22 My intention is to come back and try some other things because I was seriously underwhelmed by their blackened redfish which was overcooked. My dogs and cat really liked it though. However, shimmering had recommended it and I know that I was running this risk with what I ordered, so to be fair I have to return. The onion rings were the teeny ones and they were yummy but too greasy. But I took them home, popped them in the air fryer and they were then perfection. I got the Holiday White Russian and it was too sweet. But that's my fault- I know White Russians are sweet as in a BIG DUH! 1/22/23 I came back ands ordered crawfish and fried okra and I was store happy. The crawfish were great, spicy and flavorful. There okay was perfect and not greasy. I also got a beer but well, that's always right, right?"

"Hands down the absolute worst crab soup I have ever tasted. If you like cinnamon and nutmeg soup, by all means have Griffin 's cream of crab AKA cinnamon nutmeg soup. The catfish was super crispy outside mushy undercooked inside. I requested a salad to replace the awful soup, I received a bowl of lettuce with diced tomatoes. The salad clearly had a bowl impression in it. The crab sandwich was mediocre at best. Our server was okay. The other waitress told every one of her tables about her huge table and her 'bubble guts '. Not impressed"

"Revised to add: the restaurant owner reached out to me and apologized and sent me a gift card to more than cover the cost of my meal that he said should have been comped in the first place. I will try them again since I’ve been here in the past and haven’t had this type of service before. I was very disappointed with our latest experience at this restaurant. I found a hair in my food and the waitress just took my plate and went have another made for me. She did apologize but that's all that was offered to make it right. I wasn't offered any kind of discount on my meal or any compensation for my inconvenience. Then, after having to wait for my food to be remade the waitress came to the table and asked about dessert while I was just starting on my meal. I asked to wait until I finished my meal and she said she couldn't because we had the table for too long and there was another reservation coming in behind us even though the room we were in was almost empty except for one other table who had arrived not long after us and wasn't trying to be rushed out of the restaurant. We were charged down the the parmesan cheese we sprinkled on our bread and food and I couldn't even be given time to eat the food that had to be remade because of their mistake of getting HAIR in it. Absolutely disgusted and will not be bringing my employees there for our Christmas dinner next year or any other occasions."
