"This was my first time going to Cracker Barrel. I heard such good things about them growing up, but there was never one in my area. I found one while working around where I work and decided to go. I was not disappointed and everything I heard about their food was right. I had the Turkey n’ Dressing with mashed potatoes and corn and it was outstanding. All the food was full of flavor. The gravy on the turkey was outstanding. I couldn’t believe the portions, so much food. I was fully expecting to pay $25 for that meal, but it only came to $14. Great food for a great price! The staff was also super friendly and very attentive. It really does make you feel like you’re down south getting that southern hospitality. Will definitely be back here to try other meals!"

Not gonna lie, my sister dragged me here and I 'm so glad she did because I was so glad to have tried this food again. The fried chicken, meatloaf, green beans, fried okra, hash brown casserole

The food was absolutely amazing and our waitress Yeabsira was wonderful. The macaroni and cheese was some of the best I've ever had at a restaurant. I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised. Such a beautiful little gem of a place! View menu

If you order online call, the ap doesn't work, I waited almost an hour in total and when I spoke with the manager he was condescending and rude. I expressed concern to the the clerk and him that my food was cold. Very frustrating experience

Not gonna lie, my sister dragged me here and I'm so glad she did because I was so glad to have tried this food again. The fried chicken, meatloaf, green beans, fried okra, hash brown casserole ?, Mac and cheese, literally everything we got was so. good. Here's the thing about ordering homemade type of cooking- yeah, you could make it at home- but now you don't have to. Service was great and we weren't seated too closely to anyone either.

You can never go wrong with Cracker Barrel—delicious food and friendly service. The last few times we’ve been, though, we’ve had to wait over 40 minutes for a table, even though we go at times like 2:30pm on a Saturday. Once we’re seated, the service is always fast and excellent. I believe they’re quite understaffed with all the empty tables, so nothing that any of the staff you see while there can do! I just knocked off one star so that you know to only go if you have the time to wait for a table. View menu

I hadn't been to a Cracker Barrel since I was a child, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and excellent service. I tried the maple bacon grilled chicken and found it to be tender and flavorful, with bacon that tasted homemade and full of love. The sweet potatoes on the side were also exceptional, and I was impressed by their generous portion size. The best part was that feeding a family of three only cost around $50, even with an appetizer! Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

We always go for the Friday fish fry, last night the fish was way way over cooked, they even brought out more and it was the same way, the server kept telling us they were backed up and are having lots of problems. We never got out biscuits too, we asked to talk to the manager and he never took the time to even talk to us, normally the fish is awesome, I shouldn’t have paid for what I got and bad service, I going to have to start going to Culver’s where I know it will be cooked right, This time you lost a good customer, we paid over 35 dollars and got crapped on for bad cooks and service, Gregg Schumaker 56 41st street sw Wyoming, Mi. 49548 616-406-7994

"Yup. My twitter buddy, @swmichdining, has been RAVING about a place on Division called Taqueria San Jose. So, we used our latest family outing to Grand Rapids to check it out. Unfortunately, he forgot to mention (and, to be fair, I forgot to ask), Taqueria San Jose is, pretty much, a take out only joint (a small handful of tables, but not enough to accommodate my family of 5). So, we were off to find another suitable destination for tacos. Lo and behold, Urbanspoon points us here Tacos El Caporal. Perfect. A sit down/takeout restaurant which, as it turned out, served up some truly outstanding Mexican food. There are the complimentary chips (although, no salsa, only hot sauce) which were decent, although nothing to write home about. But the rest of it was PHENOMENAL. I got a lot of food here, so I'll just take it in order. The al pastor tostada was very good; if I had it to do over again (which I will next time I'm in GR), I'd get the al pastor on the tacos instead of the tostada, but the tostada shell, beans, and related accouterments complimented the very, very good al pastor. Except for the al pastor served at the now closed La Mexicana in Kalamazoo, this was, without question, the best al pastor I've had in Michigan meaty, flavorful, well seasoned and slightly sweet without being buried under an avalanche of pineapple. Really terrific. The tamale was also reasonably good; although the pork needed a little more something. The cornmeal was great. Throw some hot sauce on it and muy bueno. The tacos diablo four shredded beef tacos on homemade, lightly fried corn toritillas were really the star here. Although they too benefited from the addition of a little hot sauce, it's hard to find tacos prepared this way in the midwest, and I was ecstatic to find them here. Next time, I might try it with a little carne asada instead to see how that is, but as is, they were great. All told, this was one of the best Mexican meals we've had in GR and we highly recommend it."
