"I entered the restaurant and was immediately struck by an unpleasant smell reminiscent of urine and mustiness. The restrooms for both men and women were in poor condition, with similar odors. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the service was exceedingly slow. Our server seemed more focused on socializing in the back rather than attending to customers. It took at least 15 minutes for them to return and take our order. Even after reminding the server twice, we never received our appetizer of cheese bites until we had finished our main meals. Another server eventually brought them out, mentioning that they had been sitting in the window for a while. Since we were already done eating, I asked the server to take the appetizer back. Afterward, we received two combined tickets for over $60 each, even though both couples ordered different items, and I had to request that the tickets be split. On a positive note, I was pleased to see that they offered a meat substitute among their vegetarian options."

Third time I have been and ordered the Southern Fried Chicken and they come tell me they are out. If you never have it take it off the menu. I attempted to place my order over the phone, but after 5 minutes of ringing, I gave up. When I arrived, I inquired about the phone issue, but even though there was no wait and the staff weren’t busy, they just blamed someone else. Both employees at the front were standing around doing nothing. To make matters worse, my takeout order didn’t come with any utensils—do they expect us to eat with our hands? We've eaten here 3 times in the last 2 months after sporting events at the HS every time has been trying. They are out of certain foods what they have is dry,over cooked, salad is the core of the lettuce head,out of cron muffins, Mac cheese so dry it was unbeatable. Probably our last time here. This is an updated review from 2 months ago. In August 2023 it was great. I believe they've had a change in management. I don't see see the lady manager that that was so good anymore.

Food quality has really gone downhill. They replaced their sugar cured ham, replacement is nasty. Thought I would give it another try because my mom really wanted to go. Got the green beans and mashed potatoes as my sides. The green beans are still the same but the mashed potatoes have changed and not for the the better. They are gross. I don't think I ate 25% of my meal. Horrible. This is so sad because this restaurant used to be my favorite when traveling. Oh well, if you find a Buc-ee's gas station, go there. You won't be disappointed.p
