Pranzato con moglie in questo locale alle spalle del Parlamento.Menù molto ristretto, abbiamo preso una carbonara e una grigia (piena di peperoncino) e contorni.Porzioni scarse per la norma di Roma prezzo giusto e servizio gentile e veloce.Cosa più unica che rara, non mi era mai successo in nessuna parte del mondo; non fanno il caffè.Insomma esperienza normale nulla di trascendentale.

We have been to the same place in 2020 and we had a great impression. Unfortunately, this time we were very disappointed. A restaurant shouldn’t rest on its laurels but continue offering the same standard of services and quality. The service was ignoring us and attention to even basic hygiene wasn’t given. Hope this was a non recurring incident and “Da Gino” will continue offering good quality food like in the past.

The restaurant caught our attention as we past by earlier in the day, so we came back later that evening and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we've made on our trip. Being that we dont speak the language, sometimes dining out can be intimidating. However, our experience at Da Gino al Parlamento was far from that. It's hard not to love Da Gino. It is a small alley that feels so perfectly Roman. The walls and the roof are painted with happy murals. Staff are knowledgeable, timely and extremely friendly. All this is before you come to dinner. We were recommended to this restaurant by our local Italian friends and it was a brilliant. Each course tasted fresh and deep from the ingredients. The chicken was well cooked and the pasta sauce for the Amatriciana had exactly the right combination of the sharpness of tomatoes and the richness of the seas. We were lucky to get a table.

We were lucky to encounter a closure, right next to Italy’s parliament. The day before we had been to Gino’s for lunch. It was so good, we wanted to go back. On check in we asked the hotel for a dinner recommendation authentic Italian, not fancy. Immediately she replied Gino 's and called to make a reservation. We got the last table our lucky day! Gino 's is an absolute gem. It is small, busy and makes you feel welcome immediately. There are paints frescoes on the ceiling, tables re close, and you feel that perhaps you are in Nonni 's house! The food is perfect home made by the Italian family that runs it (children of the original owner), with generous portions, genuine bod taste and generous servings.
