"For my 61st birthday, my husband planned to treat me to a fancy dinner at the restaurant located on the resort grounds where we were staying. However, when we arrived at 6:30 pm with a reservation, it was clear that it was not necessary. There was only one table occupied and the rest of the restaurant was empty. Despite this, we were seated in the middle of the restaurant with no view, uninspiring decor, and no music. It was definitely not worth the price. The downhill slope continued from there. The menu did not have prices for the meats, only stating "Market price". The waitress even had to verify if we had the correct menus, making it seem like it was their first day of business. All the side dishes had prices listed, so they were additional costs, even though the menu I had included a side dish of rice or broccoli (I can't recall) at no extra charge. The waitress insisted that I had the wrong menu, yet again. After ordering, it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. In the meantime, we could hear the chef at a nearby table entertaining the diners with stories of his skills, preferences, and knowledge of the area. He claimed that his recent trip to Italy was the inspiration for the restaurant's new vibe, but having been to Italy myself last year, I can confidently say that there was nothing remotely Italian about the experience. Despite being the only other diners in the restaurant, the chef never once came to our table. When the food finally did arrive, the appetizers were the only highlight of an otherwise disappointing meal. The rib-eye steak, which was quite expensive, was poorly cooked with lots of gristle and fat. When we informed the waitress about it, she simply said she would let the chef know and that was the end of the interaction. There was no effort made to rectify the situation or even an apology for the subpar quality. This restaurant is excessively priced given the quality of the food and overall experience."

Overall outstanding evening! The view from the large front porch is truly stunning. Our service from Sarah Ann exceeded our expectations. She was enthusiastic, professional, engaging and very real. A rare gem for true fine dining in the Dahlonega area!

There was a talented vocalist performing with beautiful music, but unfortunately, the entertainment was too loud for our group to have a conversation. Despite mentioning this to the hostess and server, we were informed that the music would continue until closing, which was not a customer-focused response. We eventually spoke to the vocalist directly and she kindly agreed to lower the volume. The bar selection for mixed drinks was limited, which was disappointing for a high-end establishment. Wrong order was delivered to our table for dinner. Upon waiting 15 minutes we didn’t not get to enjoy our dinner together. 8 oz filet was a 6 oz size or less . Filet was medium when ordered rare. . Sent back to kitchen and our server tried to come back with the plate and tried to explain that this was an 8 oz cut but clearly it was not. Numerous items were no longer on the menu as listed. Oh man, gorgeous views but honestly the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. The waiter messed up our order about 10 times, we never complained but it was just pathetic. There wasn’t a single thing they got right. They apologized and then told us for all their mistakes they would give us a discount (again we never asked for anything) but sadly when the final check came not only were there things on the check we never got, the 40% discount they offered was never applied.
