I always enjoy my eating experiences here. Good food, and I like the decor.

Good place to go with my grandkids, casual atmosphere, but the server mixed up my order, gave my food to someone else, I ended up eating 15 minutes after the rest of my family.

Excellent. Simple but competent american food. Burgers sammys wraps salads etc. Wine and beer. Plus the college coffee shop vibe. Burger and the chicken sammy was excellent. Oh i miss being a college student. View menu

Stopped in here on a Sunday mid morning. It wasn’t too crowded. Had their bottomless coffees, very reasonably priced by the way, and a meal. Parking can be a little hairy, but that’s because this is downtown UConn.

Great atmosphere and food, just . A wide variety of sandwich’s and salads for every kind of person. I got the vegetarian and it was filling, felt soggy toward the end. My friend got the caprese artisan grilled cheese and said it was pretty good. The bottles drinks and chips are Connecticut made which added a nice touch.

My daughter and I ate here for breakfast on a Saturday. I love all the food options as well as the fancy coffee/matcha/tea offerings. The staff was friendly and patient as I read the enormous menu of options. It was priced well too. We ate near the fish tank, which was quite relaxing. They give you a number on a stick and bring you your food when it's ready. I would definitely eat here again! View menu

A very cool place just bordering UConn campus. Great food, lots of variety, including local beer and homemade drinks. Also desserts and coffee bar. All food made from scratch. Two of us got yummy half sandwiches and cup of soup/chowder . And an artisan grilled cheese. My problem in a place like this is that everything looks great . Service was fabulous. The place was hopping because yesterday Saturday) was UConn accepted students’ day. It’s seat-yourself; we only waited a couple of minutes at peak lunch time to get a table give us time to look at the expensive menu and specials). As a Uconn student, I often go to the Dog Lane Cafe as they have a great menu and food. Staff is usually friendly until today when an older gentleman (assuming the manager/owner? came up and rudely asked us how long we planned on staying. We had been working on some assignments for probably an hour-ish and had ordered food which we had eaten and drinks which we were still drinking. Overall spent probably $30, and as paying customers, we were under the impression that we should be allowed to sit in the cafe as we were still drinking our drinks (that we paid for! . I don’t normally write reviews but this earned it. Good food and wait staff however an older gentleman that worked there (probably the manager) was VERY RUDE. He came by our table after sitting for maybe 35 minutes and interrupted us mid conversation to ask if we wanted a to go bag. When we responded no that we were all set, he gave us an irritated look and walked away. Not 5 minutes later as soon as I finished my coffee, he came back and scooped up my empty cup, picked up our boxed food, and started cleaning our table and told us we needed to leave as there were other customers “eyeing our table” to be seated.
