"My wife had a hankering for middle-eastern cuisine tonight, and since Sudbury is a town away, let's try El Basha's. Great choice. Never been here before, so we decided to try their El Pu Pu' platter which gives us a good choice of their apps. (Humus, baba ghanouj, grape leaves, tabouli, kibbee balls, falafel) All very good. I'm a lover of eggplant so right to the baba, yummy!. likes the falafel and the grape leaves also. my son who never had grape leaves before said hey, there's stuff inside . yes indeed, ground beef, rice and a hint of lemon. The tabouli was very very fresh! We also had a few orders of the kabob mixed grill, thinking that all of this would be enough for the 3 of us for tonight. well, we have lunches for the next few days! the mixed grill was excellent, great grill flavor on the proteins (shish, kafta, chicken) and none were dry. Looking forward to coming back at some point and eating in their restaurant. Small room but looks comfortable. Very friendly staffperson, bringing out our takeout."

I recently had one of the best Mediterranean meals ever at this restaurant. The lamb chops were incredibly tender and the waiter was the nicest I've ever encountered. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it.

Just tried El Basha for the second time and it was just as good as the first. I can recommend the chicken shawarma, the mixed grill and the chicken kabob. The flavors are outstanding and really unlike what anyone else is doing in the area.

This is an excellent restaurant, however, they are most inconsiderate not posting accurate opening hours on their website. I drove 40 min there to get an order and they were closed. Trust me I will think twice before driving out there again! View menu

This restaurant is an excellent choice for Greek/Lebanese cuisine. I would give it 5 stars all around. The service provided by Andrew was outstanding. The only downside was the lack of sauces for the appetizers. Perhaps they could consider adding a lemon cream sauce option.

the best medium-east food everywhere! excellent quality ingredients, always excellent. I am grown in the middle east so eat this food el bashas eating is just as good as moms (sometimes better; beautiful atmosphere (do not think fast eating because it is in a strip-mall), great service! always an excellent experience.

First, don’t let the store front at strip mall turn you off. The restaurant has a nice long bar, comfortable booths and tables. Also nicely decorated. The service was excellent, waiter was very attentive. We were with another couple and shared 3 appetizers. All were delicious as were our meals. Lots of food, reasonable portions. It was ok ordering process for takeout was efficient but the food just wasn't that great. The mixed grill platter had chicken and beef and kofta. The beef and kofta were kind of flavorless and the chicken was average. We ordered the pu pu platter didn't really like the falafel and the lettuce that came with it was wilted. The tabbouleh was fine. Grape leaves had an odd taste and the ratio of grape leaves to filling was too high.

Stopped to get takeout tonight ..... it was good....not great. Ordered the hummus, grape leaves, mixed grill and beef kabobs. The grape leaves were good stuffed and tasty. Hummus was decent, a bit bland. The pita that came with it was either stale and old or a type of pita I am not familiar with. It was terrible and if I wasn't so hungry I would have passed. The beef kabobs were good and tasty nice quality beef and the mixed grill chicken and shawarma (sp?)was also similar in taste and quality. A bit shy on the veggies. All in all it was an ok dinner, the real buzz kill is the price. Over $80 for this food, so not worth that much Way overpriced but it is in Sudbury.
