"Food is always delicious here. The standout this visit was the queso fundido with chorizo added (upcharge). Enchiladas are always good although this time while the flavor was great, there were huge chunks of fat liberally sprinkled through the dish. The patio is lovely and even cool during the hot summer months with plenty of shade. Our server was not very pleasant and the hostess was not very friendly either. Since it was early in the day not sure how both of them could be in a bad mood already but they sure seemed it. Usually the staff is very friendly and helpful so maybe this was just an off day. We will definitely go back"

They stated that they have outdoor dining, however, it's not exactly outdoors. Food was average, but a little pricey for average food

Food was fantastic... when I finally got it. I had to send my carne asada back for more cooking and they opted to remake the entire dish, which left me sitting there without food for a long, long time and my spouse sitting there waiting for me (and his food got cold). The waitress all but ignored us most of the time we were seated

This was our first time dining at El Segundo Sol. And what a great experience we had. Our bartender/server, Hugo, was excellent. He provided prompt service and our orders were correct. He was very pleasant to be served by and very polite. Good was greatly prepared and portioned just right. Taste was good was perfect. Thanks Hugo for a wonderful experience for a very special anniversary date. We will be back soon

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
