"El Triunfo is half of a Mexican/Turkish restaurant in the Charlestown/Somerville Area. The other half of the restaurant is called Ali Baba, which is a sister restaurant of the Boston Ali Baba. Not sure why this is listed as a separate restaurant, especially since it seems like they are using the same meats, sauces, etc. between both restaurants. All this being said, the Mexican food that we tried was really good! We had a steak burrito and a chicken quesadilla and both were fresh and tasty. The portions were also good and the prices were fair. They've got a parking lot right outside and indoor seating. The whole menu is also halal. The service was friendly and fast. I'd definitely check them out."

Horrible place. I ordered something and they took so long to make it. Also the didn't send the stuff I asked for in the bag. They forgot to put my Nachos. Never coming back.

We've ordered from this place several times, and they truly make the best burritos in Boston. I’m not sure where those other reviews are coming from! They’re also a fantastic option for late-night delivery! View menu

I absolutely love this place! I've been visiting the Berkeley Street location in South End since my college days. I'm thrilled to find out that now that I live in Somerville, they have a new spot in Charlestown!

This place shares the same kitchen as Ali baba (or they have two different names). Found this place on UberEats and ordered steak burrito and chicken burrito for pickup. Both were very good value, but I liked the steak burrito slightly more as it was greater in portion. However, if you like something with more veggies (especially pepper), I recommend the chicken one as well. They may not be an authentic Mexican place, but the menus I tried were definitely on point. The only miss was the steak burrito not being wrapped properly it was very difficult to eat it even with an extra aluminum foil wrap around it.

This restaurant shares the kitchen with Ali Baba (or they may operate under two different names). I discovered it through UberEats and ordered a steak burrito and a chicken burrito for pickup. Both were excellent value, but I preferred the steak burrito just a bit more because it had a larger portion. However, if you're a fan of dishes with more vegetables, especially peppers, I highly recommend the chicken burrito as well. While they may not be a traditional Mexican eatery, the items I tried were definitely satisfying. The only downside was that the steak burrito wasn't wrapped properly, making it quite difficult to eat, even with an extra layer of aluminum foil around it. View menu

"The price per plate was $135, which I thought was quite steep. Unfortunately, the lobsters were overcooked and chewy, resembling rubber. The crab legs were similarly overcooked; they fell apart into mush as soon as I tried to remove them from the shell. I also ordered a filet mignon, which didn’t even resemble a proper filet. I requested it to be cooked medium, but when it arrived, it was also overcooked and dry inside. Clearly, they lack the skill to cook steak properly, and I was really let down. The desserts were hit or miss. The cakes and pastries were excessively sweet, making them nearly inedible, but I did enjoy the fresh fruit—it was cold and delicious. The chocolate-covered strawberries were a highlight, but unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy much else. I left feeling completely unsatisfied after spending $135, and I wouldn't consider returning. On a side note, I lost my partial denture, and the staff was kind enough to rummage through some trash for me, showing a lot of effort. However, the manager interrupted and wouldn’t let me look for it, stating it was my choice not to continue. His attitude was quite dismissive, and it felt hypocritical when I saw staff handling food without gloves just outside. Despite the beautiful setting and the hope instilled by the reviews my sisters and I read, we all left feeling let down. At least I came away with some nice pictures, but paying $135 for a meal, I expect far better quality food—something that was lacking here. While I’m glad others had a good experience, in my humble opinion, the food didn’t live up to the hype at all."
