"We are Naples residents and we typically eat out about five nights a week. We had dined at Escargot 41 several times over the past few years and had told friends about this hidden gem in a very unusual spot, tucked in a corner of a mundane strip mall next to a Dollar Tree, Party City and Burlington Coat Factory. We brought some friends with us this Saturday evening and it was a total disappointment. The ambiance and service were the same, and the food quality was consistent. But all of the portions were literally half the size of prior experiences. The prices on the menu were not changed, but portions were ridiculously reduced. All of our salads were only about 1 cup of greens and they covered half of the salad plates at most. The entrees similarly were half the size of what they had been. My favorite Branzino Almondine was a small, thin piece of fish. When I removed the skin, there was barely any remaining fish. Previously, the entree presented a generous portion of two pieces of Branzino. All of the entrees at our table were similarly meager. The men left hungry. As the plates were removed and we waited for our check, we apologized to our friends for the disappointing food. We looked around the restaurant and noticed that it was 8:45pm and the place was half empty. So it seems that their reduction of portion sizes has affected their clientele. Their strategy of dealing with rising food costs by reducing portion sizes so drastically is not a wise business decision. Obviously, we will never return. It is a shame, because it had been one of our favorites."

The branzino at this restaurant is excellent! The house Pinot Grigio was also very good. Our server was amazing and the weather was perfect for dining outside on a nice, warm evening.

Great service and extremely knowledgeable waiter. Even said they could substitute sides. Veal medallions either mushrooms was delicious. Had a grilled flavor even with a French Sauce on the dish. Fairly large portions. View menu

I ordered a pasta dish for $34, assuming it was an entree due to the high price. To my surprise, it was actually an appetizer. The prices were shockingly expensive and the manager was impolite. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

You can’t go wrong having dinner here. Always way above average! Get the Classic escargot appetizer. It’s the best in Naples….seriously. And the Fruit De Mar entree with shrimp and scallops is divine! No complaints about this place. They always put a smile on my face!
