"Cute spot! Got a pizza by the slice (hard to find sometimes! and a coke for under $7 (with 2 toppings: pepperoni and mushrooms . Friendly guy at the front and the decor was really cool. I’m liking the Detroit style! Yes, it’s a little less cheese than Chicago style but the crust is nice and crispy and it’s super flavorful. Filling! BYOB. I’ll definitely be back!"

My personal favourite pizza spot in the city reasonable prices for top tier Detroit style, and their chubbies are unexpectedly delicious

Delicious Detroit style pizza. Plenty of toppings to choose from. Pricing is fair and the service is friendly and fast. Again, the pizza is delicious.Food: 5/5

Skip the salads and other stuff. Go straight for the pizza, which is really good Detroit style (but not the best in Chicago). Would get it again if I lived nearby. View menu

I really wanted this place to be great because it's in my neighborhood and I love Detroit style pizza, but it just missed the mark. The sauce was way too sweet. I'll give it another shot because I really want to love it and will update the review accordingly.

The staff are very friendly, and the pizza is excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Detroit-style pizza, especially the delicious crunchy cheesy crust. The kids really loved the hand-tossed option. No matter what you choose, it's all fantastic! Food rating: 5/5.

The pizza here is always outstanding. I usually order the works in Detroit style, and it never lets me down. I haven't had a chance to try the buffet yet, but I look forward to doing so someday. While there's limited outdoor seating, I prefer to take my pizza to go. It’s a fantastic local spot—let's support them! View menu

only served cereal. the waiter was sloppy and smelled of Pee. he made me very uncomfortable. there were 2 dogs roaming around and humping each other. the waiter kept farting and made everyone gag. he kept talking in a fancy voice which we knew was fake and began eating and staring at us halfway through the night. very bad.

Finally, a genuine Detroit-style pizza place that isn’t part of a chain! The Detroit pan pizza is absolutely delicious, and they offer a variety of unique specialties. I also really enjoyed the chubbies! If you’re craving a taste of Detroit or want to experience pan style pizza for the first time, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Food: 5/5

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
