"The quality of the food has steadily declined since the restaurant first opened. This visit we both ordered the breakfast sandwich which looked good on the menu. It came with a choice of salad or fries. We both ordered fries. After a long wait, our order arrived. The sandwich was a fried egg and american cheese and bacon on a simple store bought english muffin. Very simple, very disappointing with the exception of the spicy sauce. It was served with a simple arugula salad (just leaves and a simple dressing) and a bowl of fries for us to share. The waiter later explained there was some confusion in the kitchen about our order which is why we received the salad and fries. We both were shocked at the simplicity of the sandwich and would not order it again. We also ordered drinks. My friend had the **** Mary, but found it too spicy and didn 't drink it. I ordered a cosmopolitan which was ok, but the waiter seemed confused by my order. It was something I had ordered before with a group of friends and we all liked them. Also when I got home, Open Table emailed me to confirm that I honored my reservation because the restaurant did not check us in. I noticed when we arrived, they couldn 't find our reservation. This is the second time I 've been very unhappy the the food and both times my guests were not happy with what was served. I also find the staff to be very disorganized on the weekends and it seems they are now only focused on drinks more than food. I won 't be going back. When the restaurant opened, the food was VERY good and I enjoyed everything about the place. Its a common problem in San Francisco with new restaurants. They start off with very good food and over time it deteriorates."

It’s an unfortunate series of circumstances that leads to this poor review.

We haven't been back to Finn in awhile, and now we remember why. The noise level was over the chart, we could barely hear our waiter, we were almost screaming at each other to be heard across the table. The food was okay but not nearly good enough to put up with all the noise. Our waiter was great. View menu

Mass walkout of diners who, like us, waited 1 1/2 hours for food that never came. Mgmt never offered explanationa or apologies but their service level gas always been abysmal to fair. I hear they are about to close. Very disappointing as I have been their 25-30 times. It was a welcoming spot so we supported them but sheesh...get it together.

The menu was reduced to 2 salads and 2 sandwiches... ENTIRELY. It was grnui Ely embarrassing to bring our guest there. And the usually delicious and hugefried Chicken sandwich... Was reduced tk what looked like child 's oval sandwich. They explained that they were between seasons and menus. . The usually impressive deviled eggs... We 're literally half as large. They were comical. We 'll never go back.

we had visitors from the city and thought finntown would be entertaining for brunch. at 11:30 a.m. we came to a thin overcrowded dining room that quickly filled. the waiter appeared friendly, but a bit separated from his service skills. one of our groups ordered the burger, one of only two sandwiches on their shortened brunch menu. his answer was “what Burger?”. I ordered the eggs benedikt, which was very heavy with sauce. all fun! View menu

the place was not very full for Sunday brunch and there were many waiters and other employees. However, the service was slow and not thorough. I got my appetizers, but my partner didn't make it into the kitchen and not his coffee order for an americano. then the escaped one came very late after one of us finished our drinks and water and my came with salat not fries as I ordered. we had to go to another place later, so that my partner could become full, as his appetizer never came.

The restaurant was fairly empty on a Saturday night. The food was very good., but the service was lacking. I don’t want to be mean because I have been a server at many different places. The host did not check us in to opentable so I received email that I no showed. The server gave us a bread dipping bowl. Three tiny pieces of breas and a giant bowl of sauce. We asked for more bread three times. Bread is pretty cheap so why was finntown being so cheap with it? Perhaps just a silly mistake? What is not a mistake is our perception of annoyance from servers because we asked for more. They could have sold me more alcohol but did not bother asking. When we finished with our food I am guessing our...
