"Flat Top Grill works like this, basically you grab a bowl and make your own stir fry from various things (sauces, vegetables, seitan, tofu, etc Some things are clearly labeled vegan and some are not, so make sure you ask. What I like most, is that you can have vegan food cooked separately from the meat items just put the white stick in your bowl for special dietary needs It is a little pricey if you're going to just eat one bowl, it's $1 more for unlimited bowls. This isn't a must-stop Chicago place, but if it's there, it works. It's also a good compromise when vegans and non-vegans need to find a place to eat together."

amazing vegan protein options, and clearly characterized vegan sauces. love this place! stop here every time I am in chicago. make sure they say yes to the roti it is vegan! also love that they use a separate cooking area for vegan dishes.

Came here with a group of mostly Omni folks. I enjoyed overall. This place has a variety of vegan options. I really enjoyed eating here and would again. It's a little confusing getting the food though. It's a bit like a buffet, but they bring the food to you once they cook it. Hard to explain!

We came here before a show at the Chicago Theatre. It was fast easy and super delicious. They had several different types of vegan sauces, we liked the soy sesame. Also offering fake meat to choose from including tofu. They have White, Brown rice and rice noodles to choose from as well. We enjoyed our dinner View menu

many vegan options! choose the whole sweetness they want, and then choose from protein options such as tofu, sincean and sweet pakora; then choose a sauce like kokosnuss curry, red curry, peanut sauce, etc. and take it to grill. place a white stick in their bowl so that the cooks know to grill their choice away from the non-vegan selections. some of the sauces are not vegan, but there are many that are and they can offer them a list.

This place is definitely a fun experience. You get to create your own stir fry and it was delicious! It’s a great place to bring picky eaters since you choose exactly what you like. For vegans they have tofu, veat and seitan. Most of the sauces are also vegan. And if you put a white stick in your bowl they will cook it in a separate pan. We noticed some people putting noodles and rice in their bowls last (they said they could fit more veggies in that way). I would definitely recommend for a good fast lunch (or dinner)

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
