"I had been turned off by a few people because I LOVE prime rib. I had just heard great things about the restaurant. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing for us. We had reserved at the open table and requested a stand. When we got there the hostess did not confirm our reservation when we told her we booked them online and still got us to a table. She was our waitress and was pretty good. The drinks were well made but small for the price. We ordered the prime rib. I got the girls cut and my husband got the kings cut which is about a $ 20 price difference. When they came out, they were exactly the smaller portion I ordered in length and thickness. We ordered medium seldom (which it turned out to be), but it had no taste and was extremely tough. If there's one thing I love almost as much as prime rib, it's ranch dressing. It was chunky and tasted terrible. (and no, it wasn't blue cheese) To get our USD 100 bill at the end of our meal, we were both utterly disappointed with the entire meal. The quality did not reflect the cost."

"I had heard a lot about Doro Restaurant, so I finally made the trip from St. Augustine to Neptune Beach. I was surprised by the atmosphere and decor; it was quite minimalistic, with a bright, white interior. We were seated at a great table by the window, allowing us to watch the people passing by. The food was genuinely good. Both my wife and I ordered the kale salad, which we found delicious. My wife particularly enjoyed her sea bass. I tried the pork schnitzel as an appetizer, but it was just okay. I felt it had been over-pounded to the point where the flavor of the pork was unrecognizable, and the texture was flat, almost like peanut brittle. It was unlike any schnitzel I've ever had. Overall, we had a nice experience at Doro, but I don't think it will become a favorite spot for us."

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"The best. Always a pleasure to eat at Mojo's. Chopped North Carolina style bbq is awesome even if sometimes a tiny bit over-spiced (spice should be in vinegar sauce more so than the pork itself). Excellent fried green tomatoes for app and super sides. You may wait a bit for a table during busy times especially weekends after 6:00 or so but it goes pretty fast. Thankful for real bbq in Jax Beaches!"
