"Still great. Old fashioned Mom and Pop pizzeria. I hear a lot about their subs, but I haven't tried any yet. I absolutely love their onion petals with the homemade roumalade sauce. Delicious! They also have thin crust pizza as well as regular. Their green peppers that I usually get added as a topping are always fresh! I love the few tables they have outside; they're taller than the normal ones so you up a little higher. There's also two small counter tops with stools inside, which gives you a window view. Parking: Depending on the time of day, you may have to park a little farther down and walk. It's on the main street in town."

I always think of Happy Days when I go to George's. I'm not sure why. Hands down, in my opinion, George's has the best pizza in town.

I always enjoy George's. Small, quaint, and old. I like it! Polite and quick service! They have the best sauce to go with their onion petals. View menu

I ordered a small chef sub, and it turned out to be a disappointing mess, about the size of a hot dog bun. It cost $9 and contained just one piece of cheese, which was torn in half, along with four slices of lunch meat.

I used to work at the Mechanicsburg location in 1991 to 1995. George's son Ernie took over the business, and continues to work there with his staff. The food is just as great as it was back then. One of the only sub shops in the area to use soft rolls, and not the hard and doughy pizza rolls. They have those as an option though too. The Chef Sub is a must try. No one else makes it (that I know of). I am a non-slender, food connoisseur. Trust me!!

Normally the whole family LOVES George's, however the last few meals from there have been sad, under par, and rather disappointing. We all loved the cheese burger subs. Not anymore. The homemade rolls used to be so good, today I could hardly tear the bread with each bite. My sub was wrapped with the foil shoved INSIDE the roll so ALL of my cheese is on the foil. And the final thing about the sub, which normally wouldn't bother me but I'm pregnant so eating pink burger isn't something I want to be doing. The cheese sticks were over cooked. View menu

I absolutely enjoyed my visit to George’s Pizza and Subs! The restaurant has a charming, family-run vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The food was delicious, particularly the classic Italian sub, which I highly recommend. I requested mayo and asked for the Italian dressing on the side, and it was a fantastic decision because I could dip my sub in the dressing later. Everything was very reasonably priced, and the food was incredibly fresh—definitely a step above typical chain restaurant offerings. It’s a wonderful little place that I will certainly return to!

I stopped by to grab some pizza slices for my kids on our walk home. I ordered two cheese slices with no toppings, and was told it would take a few minutes. However, we ended up waiting over 25 minutes for our pizza (considering there was a whole pizza made, it shouldn’t have taken that long). When we finally received our slices, they were very crispy and quite tough to chew. This is the second time we've had a long wait; last time, we noticed that multiple customers who ordered after us received their food before we did. The Boli is decent, and the sauce is great, but I wouldn't recommend ordering here if you're short on time.
