"I recently visited Gomen Ramen in Stanton and had an amazing experience. This cozy restaurant serves delicious Japanese Ramen, appetizers, and drinks. Despite being busy during lunchtime, the service was friendly and the food was so flavorful. They offer a variety of noodle choices including thin, thick, spinach, tofu, low-carb, and gluten-free noodles. I enjoyed their healthy options. The menu include different types of broth like chicken, pork, and a veggie option. I loved the meat lover ramen with triple chasu as it was a generous portion and the soup was rich and flavorful. Additionally, they offer fried rice, udon, curry, and a variety of appetizers such as fried dumplings, takoyaki, and Karaage. The Karaage was especially good, perfectly fried and juicy. The service was friendly, although the food did take a while to arrive. However, the delicious food made the wait worthwhile."

Delicious hot raves on a rainy day make for the perfect combination! The smoker was incredibly hearty, and the broth complemented the noodles beautifully. It was a bit disappointing that the manga area was closed due to COVID, but overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Came back after a year to give the restaurant time to work out its kinks. The broth itself still isn't as thick, rich and flavorful as tonkotsu. It's an ok bowl of soup, but not what I was expecting. Fried rice was much better as it isn't as oily as before. Pan fried gyoza were decent. The price is right for the lunch menu, family of four got 4 soups, 3 appetizers and paid about $70 before tip. Restaurant is clean and ambiance is nice. Overall if you are a tonkotsu ramen lover looking for a great bowl of soup, keep looking.

I can't believe I never wrote a review for Gomen! I've been a loyal customer for over a decade, and it's one of my top three ramen spots. Their Mabo Tofu Ramen is my favorite, and I haven't found it anywhere else. Their fried rice is also fantastic; if you enjoy vinegar, definitely try it on the fried rice—it enhances the flavor beautifully. The service here is excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly, creating a great atmosphere. On my last visit, they were playing "Avatar: The Last Airbender," which was just perfect. I should've thought of mapo ramen sooner. I mean, mapo tofu and ramen are two family favorites. Never would've thought of combining them! Portions are generous; being the glutton I am I did not heed the server's recommendation to get regular rather than the large, but as a result I had some to take home for wifey. Buddy got the special $7.99 ramen with 3 pieces chashu. If I wasn't such a piggy, that's a really good deal!!! The two servers do team service well, complementing each other and quickly getting to every table. Want to come back to try some of their other options like jjajang ramen.

Gomen has just unveiled a new menu, and I couldn't resist giving it a try! Some highlights include the Dungeness crab ramen and the Galbi ramen, both of which are packed with flavors! The Dungeness crab ramen features fresh clams and shrimp, while the Galbi ramen is topped with six large pieces of short ribs. The meat is so tender that it practically falls off the bone. The portion sizes are impressive too—one bowl could easily serve 3 to 4 people! The restaurant has a lovely cozy atmosphere, and I really appreciate the anime playing on the TV along with the manga displayed at the front. The service here is exceptional as well. If you're in the area, you definitely need to check them out!

I hate to go to a place where I see stellar reviews and realize that the reviews are fake or by people who don't know what quality food is. I ordered the kakuni ramen with a side dish of braised pork over rice. When we arrived it was pretty dead for a late lunch. Most orders were takeout. Two guys servicing the front. Ramen had a lot of toppings. Soup broth was mediocre. Then the braised pork over the rice was so salty and dry. It was just way overcooked. What a disappointment. I don't like to have them take it back but it was so sad. Then I asked for a substitute and they charged me a whole other new side dish. Seriously. Your quality of food is wack and not edible and you're still gonna ch... View menu

Delicious flavors, generous portions, and kid-friendly! This ramen and rice dish spot in the area is a standout. The food servings are quite large for the price, plus they treat you to free mochi ice cream at the end! The Kakuni Deluxe Ramen was enormous—comparable to ordering an extra-large noodle at other places. The broth was flavorful, and it was topped with plenty of ingredients. The kakuni meat had a drier, shredded texture compared to typical kakuni, but it was still enjoyable. The Cheese Katsu Curry came with an abundance of curry sauce, with only half the bowl filled with rice, the other half topped with the katsu. The rice was quite filling, so you'll likely have enough for a lefto...

The restaurant offers ample parking and has a casual ambiance with average noise levels. After a long day of shopping, we decided to stop by. We kicked off our meal with fried squid, which were large enough to share. The accompanying sauce added a delightful flavor to the dish. The deep-fried gyoza was also tasty, prompting us to order another serving. The ramen broth was flavorful, and the noodles had a wonderful texture. However, the half fried rice was our least favorite, arriving on the cooler side and lacking in flavor; the rice itself seemed a bit stale. We also tried the Katsu Curry. While it didn't quite resemble what you would find in Japan, it was still enjoyable and perhaps the st...

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
