"This restaurant offers more than just delicious pizza! I was mistaken in thinking it was just a small, simple, cheap pizza joint. I have passed by this place every day on my way to work for years, always noticing the name "Hard Times Pizza" and assuming it was in a rough neighborhood. Finally, I decided to try it out and was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of fresh, handmade pizzas available. The thin crust was incredibly fresh and there was also a variety of gourmet pastas, salads, and desserts on offer. I tried two pastas and my favorite was the chicken curry bowtie pasta. I had to take some home for the weekend! The Caesar salad was also delicious, but the garden salad was underwhelming. They also offer handmade pizza pockets similar to calzones. The staff was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. I plan on coming back to try more pizza combinations, pasta dishes, and tiramisu!"

Ordered a chicken pasta in pesto sauce Saturday and got food poisoning. I really like your pizzas though. I was sick as a dog for like 3.5 days. Still nauseated today but it's about gone. Make sure your cooks rotate out the fridge. God bless.

best pizza spot on the east side of la. nicely expensive and tastes just as good as some of the $30 cakes in the echopark and silver see. from the ranch to the tiramisu and the cheesecake to the deep plate and to the pasta salad; everything here is yummo.

Pizza was really good, only the place was small, so if you want to order a pizza from here, it's probably best if you call it. There is no experience and there are two tables only outside. Overall, it looks like this place has a story and the pizza is really good, especially the thick crust pizza, but if your planning to eat in it is probably not a good idea unless it is slow. Pizza tastes really good. We ordered the Bronx pizza, the thin crust is and the taste is not disappointed. We loved that the crust on the sides was a bit crisp. The only thing is that it is made too healthy and oily in the middle, but the taste for it. We also ordered the Pesto Pasta, but unfortunately the taste was lacking. It was really amazing, even if we put a lot of parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. The chicken wings were also on the Bland side, good that their sauces were tasty.
